I have been at Aurora now for about 4.5 months. I didn't really think I needed recovery when I came here. It took about two weeks for me to understand that how I live bears a direct correlation with the consequences of my life good or bad. It was here through counseling, group therapy and other programming I was able to begin my recovery journey. My experience here has been life changing. It helped me change my thinking and outlook, something that hadn't changed in almost 30 years. I have become a part of the community here and take pride in participating in activities and chairing meetings and doing anything I can to assist others with their recovery. I'm doing so well that I decide to further my education while I'm extended care. Aurora has helped me more than I ever did for myself.

I came back on here to edit my review about Aurora. Aurora Recovery Centre not only saved mine & my partner’s lives in January 2024. We both attended together, and it was an amazing experience because our relationship became stronger, and we are now past nine months sober and more to come! We were in such a bad place in our lives this time of last year. All the hurt and pain from addiction, feeling helpless and not worthy. Thankfully in January we knew we needed to change our lives, not only for ourselves but for our daughter. So we attended Aurora and it was the best decision we’ve both made, we still talk about our stay at Aurora and its always positive. Thank you Aurora, I can finally say we have our daughter back in our full custody, full time jobs, and we can give her the life that she deserves. We will be forever grateful for this facility. Highly Recommend.

My stay here at Aurora has been great from the detox to the primary care unit, the staff are amazing and truly care about your recovery. I've learned to be vulnerable with myself and also those around me in a positive way, I've also gained the tools to deal with triggers in a positive way. They also have an aftercare program that really helps those who complete the program, so we never lose contact with the amazing people here changing lives everyday, If your struggling i strongly suggest Aurora Recovery Centre.

The program that this facility runs and the staff here saved my life. The bonds and brotherhood I have made with my brothers/worriers are amazing. The staff are kind, caring and extremely supportive. This is truly a world class treatment center. I will forever be grateful for my time spent here. My wife and my children have their loving and caring father back. I can look at my reflection in the mirror without being embarrassed, disappointed and disgusted by the shell of a man looking back. I now see a loving, caring, confident man I was ment to be. The Bruce Oake Center gave me tools to stay sober and stay connected, and showed me how to be the best version of myself.

This place is absolutely amazing and has given me second chance, I now have a new perspective on life and am able to use the tools I have learned to become a better version of myself everyday. It also provided me with the community to get sober and maintain sobriety. Forever grateful for Scott Oake and his family.

Very good place. Lots of staff to help you The food is very good. Lots of excersize. So if you want to get out of addiction this is the place to go.
