Canadian KickBoxing and Muay Thai Centre (CKMTC) was established in Winnipeg's West End in 2002 as a KickBoxing and Muay Thai Gym focused on building fighters and competition. With the growth of MMA and the launch of the Canadian Fighting Championship, they transformed into the Canadian Fighting Center (CFC) in 2009, also known as CFC Gym(Canadian Fighting Championship Gym). They only take new members by appointment, and the minimum age is eight.

I went to D.S.T Academy for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. I was very impressed from the moment I walked into the Academy. The staff and instructors are very kind and professional. I am from a different school and was just doing a drop in but they made me feel very welcome. The gym is beautiful the mats are so nice to train on they have foam underneath for added padding and it's very comfortable to train on. The gym and washrooms were very clean and they had clean showers. The students I rolled with were very technical and skilled, everyone was very nice to me and made me feel like part of the team. The instructor was phenomenal, the class felt like a seminar, he was very patient and very knowledgeable and made sure we were doing the technique correctly. This is a great place to learn Jiu Jitsu, have a great workout or meet new friends. I highly recommend this Academy if you are in the area 5/5.

Regardless of age or experience, the instructors and trainers at DST always make sure that everyone is maximizing their potential. If you are thinking about singing up, don’t hesitate, because you won’t regret it.

Very welcoming staff and members. Aaron was great at explaining programs they offer and Daniel gives clear, concise instructions. DST is great for hobbyists and athletes alike and accommodates all skill levels.

Been training here for about 1 year. Great gym. Highly recommended whether you're just a hobbyist or looking to go competitive. Coaching is fantastic and the facility is clean. Its the place to train, learn and grow.

If your goal is fitness, this place has it. If your goal is self- defense, this place has it too. Great place for beginner and even advanced as they have advanced classes and sparring sessions.

I've been training at CFC for over 4 years now and its hands down the best gym for kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA in the city. There's nowhere better to get a hard work-out. If fighting is your goal, coach Giuseppe and his wealth of knowledge will mold you into a top competitor. Everything is cleaned and sanitized between classes, and the atmosphere is great. Be ready to work hard.

I joined Kwest during a really difficult chapter in my life. I was extremely nervous on my first day, but was instantly made comfortable by the energy and kindness of the community. Joining Kwest is the best thing I have ever done. Instructors such as Kelly, Dom, Lindsay, Jen, Manny, Derek, and Si are all extremely knowledgeable and just really honest and good people. They make learning easy and fun. I am humbled and honoured to have been exposed to such an opportunity with such amazing people. I can not say enough good things about the facility, staff, and gym members. Joining is a must!! Thank you for everything guys.

I attended a beginners class for one hour tonight. The instructor Kelly was very detailed in his movements when teaching. He had many students to attend to and he made a point to come to each student and give individual attention too. I will be going back for beginners of course. The gymnasium was big enough to accommodate a variety of talents. Why not give this school a try.

I had an incredible experience. I took the sparring class and trained with technical and supportive sparring partners. After I did the conditioning class. One of the best work outs I have ever done. If you’re in Winnipeg you have to go to Kwest. They are so friendly and accommodating and you will train with amazing people. Recommend.
