St. Patrick's Parish holds the distinction of being a pioneering presence within Markham. The core of their mission is rooted in radiating God's love throughout the world, achieved through transformative friendships with Jesus. Their overarching vision is to evolve into a dynamic, affectionate community dedicated to living for God and embracing others in the process. Their commitment to worship excellence is evident through meticulous planning, alignment, and delivering inspirational homilies. These homilies carry a clear message and a compelling call to action, all contributing to an atmosphere of spiritual enrichment. In harmony with their Christian belief, Roman Catholics embrace the notion of a Trinitarian God—a singular deity existing as three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The belief centers on the historical incarnation of Jesus of Nazareth, who embodies a bridge to a profound, personal connection with humanity. This connection is underscored by God's boundless, unwavering love for each individual. This belief's foundation is rooted in the Bible. St. Patrick's Parish's historical journey began with the September 23, 1855, inaugural mass. Over time, the church's evolution led to its establishment as a separate parish in 1932. The year 1904 marked a milestone as the church's registered families expanded to twenty-two. The current church structure, constructed between 1969 and 1970, is a testament to its enduring legacy. With a registered community exceeding 7,500 families and steadily growing visitors, St. Patrick's Parish thrives as a vibrant and caring collective devoted to both God and humanity. Guided by their mission, they create avenues for individuals to encounter Jesus and nurture growth in His teachings, fostering missionary discipleship. For those seeking spiritual communion, the opportunity to book confession is available through a simple call to the parish office.

ST. PATRICK'S PARISH REVIEWS
St Patrick's Church on highway 7 was such a warm and welcoming Catholic Church. I went to the Saturday night 5:00 p.m. mass when I was here in town from Chicago. The Deacon gave a thoughtful and humorous homily peppered with examples of how we could apply gospel concepts to our everyday life. The choir was wonderful, and it was so great to hear everyone singing and participating in mass. Kudos goes to this vibrant faith community.
I attended a weekday service with my baby. We were greeted by friendly faces and I had casually mentioned that I hope the baby wasn't going to fuss too much. The ladies were so sweet saying not to worry about it and we need more babies crying in church. From what I saw, the church is beautiful and well maintained. Baby boy enjoyed looking around at everyone and everything. So overall, a very nice experience for us both.
Father Dominic, father J and Deacon Mikes sermons connect with the young... With analogies to Homer Simpson and others that make learning fun. My son is a teenager now, hard to drag into church.. but if I tell him who is leading mass.. he will always attend.. thank you to the whole team at the parish.. keep connecting with the congregation and leaving us with the smile for the week ahead.

St. Thomas the Apostle Parish was founded on January 6, 1982, by Father Basil Breen Eminence, Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter, who was the Archbishop of Toronto at the time. This establishment, known as St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, stands as one of the community's most historic churches. It has a strong presence of lectors, ushers, and musicians, contributing to its vibrant atmosphere. The church has been a venue for various liturgical celebrations, including Confirmations and First Holy Communions, for around a hundred individuals. What began as a humble congregation serving thirty families has now grown significantly to accommodate the expanding parish community. The rising population necessitated the church's expansion, and it now holds a diverse range of carol performances in different languages, reflecting the multicultural nature of the community it serves. The church has set four main priorities: fostering engagement within families, particularly the youth; celebrating the richness of its cultural diversity; utilizing resources judiciously; and maintaining effective communication. A dedicated committee called the Steering Committee was established to oversee the construction of a new church building. This resulted in constructing an impressive tower and a new church building, providing a space for parishioners to partake in masses and festivities. Today, St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church possesses both the resources and the community support needed to function as an active and thriving congregation. The Parish Community comprises numerous individuals who generously contribute their leadership, time, and enthusiasm, making the church's services and activities truly vibrant. If you're seeking a place to spend quality time with your family and friends, visiting St. Thomas the Apostle Parish promises a pleasant experience amidst the warm community ambiance.

ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE PARISH REVIEWS
Absolute gorgeous church! Loved all the stained glass windows, especially when sun shines through them. Ceremony is beautiful! Priests are very knowledgeable and kind hearted.
Another great church which felt like home. I alternate between thos parish and Precious Blood. The parish reminds me of the services I attended as a kid particularly with their rendition of Hallejuah !!!!!! That's one of the main reasons I visit this sanctuary.
It is a beautiful church and the prayerful atmosphere there is really good. The mass timings are at your convenience. Before every mass you can receive the sacrament of confession.

Chinese Martyrs Parish is a prominent national Catholic church in Greater Toronto, serving the Chinese Catholic community. The inception of the Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church was meticulously planned and received approval from the Archbishop in 1987. The inaugural mass took place at the Divine Infant Catholic School hall, and by April 1988, the first parish council had been established. The congregation at that time encompassed around 200 parishioners. Over time, various committees were established, including those for RCIA/C and Sunday School, aimed at providing services to the community. As the number of parishioners grew, it became evident that the space within the school, where Sunday mass was hosted, was becoming insufficient. Consequently, in August 1989, a Parish Building Committee was assembled to address this concern. The Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School was temporarily utilized as an alternative venue for the masses. Through years of dedicated fundraising efforts, the construction of a new church with a seating capacity of 900 was eventually completed. This new facility has become instrumental in accommodating the needs of the expanding parish community. The church is renowned for its positive and dynamic approach to serving the community, reflecting an attitude of optimism and hard work. Originally rooted in Scarborough, the church is now based in Markham. It is the second Catholic church in the Greater Toronto Area, specifically tailored to meet the spiritual needs of the Chinese Catholic community. A visit to Chinese Martyrs Parish offers a chance to receive blessings from the priest alongside your family and friends, allowing for a meaningful and enriching experience.
