Markham Civic Centre is a well-known and elegant city hall. The renowned architect Arthur Erickson designed the Markham Civic Centre, a distinguished city hall that exudes elegance. Adjacent to the Civic Centre lies an expansive 11.5-hectare park featuring a sizable pond that reflects the southern facade of the building. Situated on the eastern side of the Town Centre is a singular piece of artwork embodying a skeletal town hall theme, complete with an attached bell. Functionality defines the Civic Centre, housing the Great Hall and Lower Atrium. These spaces accommodate office needs and offer numerous public areas for hosting special occasions and meetings. Notably, the Snow and Ice Festival held within the hall provides a platform for local and Chinese artists to display their talents. Incredible! Moved here recently and it has been spectacular. Everyone is so friendly and the City Of Markham addresses the problems of resident. Lower taxes, well maintained neighborhoods, and diversity.
A beautiful place for walks, especially enjoyed the evening stroll and sunset view. Waiting and look forward to the cherry tree blooms.
Absolutely gorgeous, very simple to follow directions. Staff very courteous.
