I recently had dinner at L'Abattoir and was blown away by the incredible food, impeccable service, and stylish ambiance. Every dish was beautifully prepared, with standout flavors. The wine pairing suggestions were also spot-on. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. The Gastown location adds such a cool, historic vibe to the night. Highly recommend L'Abattoir for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Vancouver. Can’t wait to return.

Must try restaurant! Perfect neighborhood for an evening stroll brought is to L’Abattoir for their perfectly crafted tasting menu(they even had vegetarian menu, which was great) Service was amazing from the get go and the food was absolutely delicious. Wine pairings also made perfect sense and overall the experience was amazing. Real winner was the baked oysters.

Had an early dinner upstairs and it was quiet (one of only two tables) which we prefer. Brandon was our server and he was fantastic! Most of our dishes were delicious. We weren't a fan of the hamachi crudo or the apple dessert but everything else was so good. The octopus dish was one of the best I have had anywhere. The two fish dishes were so good. And that take on an oyster motoyaki was out of this world! Thanks Brandon for taking such good care of us.

This is my first time experiencing French cuisine, and I love it. The restaurant was packed on a Friday night, and I barely got a table. The atmosphere is a bit too dark for my liking, but the food more than made up for it. The Escargots de Bourgogne had an excellent crunchy texture and came with a rich butter-garlic-herb sauce that complemented it perfectly. In fact, the sauce was so good that I finished an entire bread basket with it. The Salade niçoise has a very good mix of flavour, but it seemed to use canned tuna and a lot of other canned ingredients instead of fresh ones. The confit de canard is a highly delightful experience. The crispiness of the duck skin contrasts delectably with the juicy leg meat, all seasoned in a way that preserves a hint of the duck's natural flavour. The duck sat upon a mound of leafy greens saturated with a tangy vinigrette, which I found to be pleasant enough to dip another full bread basket into. Lastly, the fresh Crème brûlée tasted far richer and creamier than anything pre-made. The hard caramelized shell was fun to break as well. However, it is not very sweet, which is fine for me. Overall a highly enjoyable experience.

Came here for an anniversary - reserved online, and staff was able to accommodate a special request to allow for more table space due to an injury - much appreciated. Food was delicious with great service. While it's hard to go wrong with any of the menu choices, the onion soup and the duck confit stood out in particular as highlights for the night.

Love coming here for a casual bite. I like it because the steak frites is affordable in comparison to other places. Plus you can get moules frites as well, which is our second go-to, and a creme brulee to end it off. Service is fantastic and friendly every time. It's a joy to be here.
