PHNOM PENH RESTAURANT REVIEWS

This spot has been on my to go list for around 2 years at this point since everyone hypes it up. After a 90 min wait we finally got a table in the loud, busy restaurant. And you know what, the food was worth the wait! Everything we tried tasted amazing, and I was very happy to order way too much and stuff myself. Would highly recommend the butter beef and the chicken wings.

There's no denying this place is one of Vancouver's culinary icons, and snagging a spot even for a weekday lunch can be a real challenge, but it's worth the effort. Their wings and marinated butter beef are my absolute favorites, though plenty of other dishes stand out too. It's definitely a spot best enjoyed with a group. While I wish it was easier to get in, I also wish them many more years of drawing big, hungry crowds they've certainly earned it.

This place is worth the hype. Wow! Fast and helpful service, delicious food. We ordered the deep fried wings and butter beef and I still dream about them both. We also ordered the Phnom Penh rice noodle which was delightfully flavourful and light.

ANH AND CHI REVIEWS

Incredibly flavourful and delicious Vietnamese food. It was a 30 minute wait on a Wednesday night at 8pm. But it was worth the wait! Highly recommend the DIY street platter, caramelized sable fish, and the soft shell crab salad. Grandma’s crab tomato noodle soup was a disappointment as it was lukewarm and bland. We were sad that we couldn’t try more dishes so we will be back! The service was friendly and efficient. The only downside to the restaurant is that they charge for reservations.

We ordered the DIY platter, beef noodle soup, tofu rolls and mango salad. This might be the best meal I’ve had in a really long time. Definitely order family style, it becomes extremely fun and satiating to share and roll rice paper rolls. The flavors are so well balanced, and not too heavy. The vibes of the restaurant were also immaculate. I highly highly recommend.

Absolutely delighted with my experience at this Vietnamese restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a beautiful interior that set the tone for an exquisite dining experience. The food was exceptional, boasting authentic flavors that transported me back to Vietnam. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Overall, a fantastic dining destination that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking an authentic Vietnamese culinary adventure.

If you're visiting or living in Vancouver this place is a must try!! Everything was amazing, our server Jess was so nice and gave great service. Daniel was also so sweet and helpful! He gave us so many good recommendations. I would 1000% come back. Also get the Chè Ba Màu! It’s so good, I’ve never had anything like it before. Lunch Lady is a 10/10.

This place is so excellent ! I don’t think I have ever had a better experience at a restaurant. Not only was the food amazing but the servers were all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They all look genuinely happy to be there doing that job and it feels like a family atmosphere.

Alex was awesome. She was very attentive and helpful making our first experience at Lunch Lady a great one. Can’t wait to come back. So worthy of the Michelin awards.
