Additionally, he holds hospital privileges at the Vancouver Island Health Authority and serves as the Medical Director of the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit. “Dr. David Quinlan is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia. He has over 41 years of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. Dr. David Quinlan was honoured by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for his research on fistula in Ethiopia. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive gynaecology and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. Dr. David Quinlan also specializes in treating pelvic floor disorders and irregular bleeding, as well as diagnosing and treating issues related to the female reproductive tract. He is a past president of the Pelvic Medicine Western Society and is the head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Victoria Gynaecology & Continence Clinic in Victoria.

2025 Update: Dr. David Quinlan serves as a Visiting Consultant in Urogynaecology at both St George’s Hospital, London, and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, University of Cambridge. Honestly the best experience i have ever had with a Dr. I dread going to doctors because they never listen and just want to throw pills at you. He listened, offered blood tests, was completely honest, amazing bed side manner. Wish he could be my gp.

Dr. Quinlan is very good doctor. He answer all the questions thoroughly and listen you carefully. I am grateful to have him as my gynaecologist as I am new to Victoria. The lady who called me for an appointment was very polite and kind as well.

Dr. Quinlan removed a fibroid in 2004 and did my tubal ligation 10 years later. I'm very happy with the results. He is polite and made sure all my questions were answered. I think some of these reviews say more about the patient than the doctor. If you need a therapist as well as a OBGYN, then get 2 referrals.

What a pleasant experience throughout! Front desk staff super helpful, office setting very friendly and warm and Dr. Quinlan is a top professional.

Just met Dr Quinlan today for an appt. He was a very kind, soft spoken doctor who explained my procedure to me and listened to my concerns. He also took away some of my worries… His medical assistant was also great and very pleasant! Thank you both! - PS Reply

I had an excellent experience with Dr Whitehill. She treated me with care. I didn’t know I had so many issues growing in me. At surgery she did laparoscopic instead of open surgery. She took an extra hour to give me the best results. She also respected my beliefs for medical procedures I was comfortable with. Thanx Kelli

I highly recommend Dr. Whitehill. I am 49 & have always avoided paps due to how painful they were. She is the first & only Dr where I felt NO pain. She takes her time & talks you through it, every step of the way. She is patient & caring, & takes the time to listen. I am so thankful to have gotten a referral to her, & she got me in so fast this last time. She is the best!

A truly kind and patient lady, very calm and helpful and generous with her time helping my elderly and forgetful parent making sure she understands.
