“Dr. Alex Henri-Bhargava is a certified neurologist who completed his fellowship training in behavioural neurology and a master’s degree in Health Practitioner Teacher Education. He oversees clinical trials related to these conditions and conducts health systems research to develop better assessment and treatment strategies for cognitive disorders. He is also the medical director of the Neil and Susan Manning Cognitive Health Initiative, a donor-funded collaboration between Island Health, the University of Victoria, and UBC. Dr. Alex Henri-Bhargava is the primary lead for neurology education in Victoria, where he coordinates undergraduate and postgraduate neurology rotations. In addition, he oversees the Island Medical Program’s ambulatory internal medicine rotation for clerkship-year medical students.

DR. OLINKA HREBICEK - VICTORIA NEUROLOGY REVIEWS

Dr H has been my neurologist for a few years now and I could not be happier to have found her. She is very kind and personable. She speaks very fast (you can tell she's a highly intelligent person) but is never rushing you. She takes all the time you need to explain things and she follows up on any and every symptom you bring up. She's an advocate for mental health care as well as physical care and takes every concern seriously. She will quickly make referrals to other specialists if necessary, to ensure you're recieving the best care. All the staff at the MS clinic are kind and knowledgeable as well.

Been dealing with the ms clinic for many years, not for ms but a similar and very rare disease/illness. Dr H is empathetic and extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to and doesn’t leave me feeling confused or discouraged. I feel very fortunate to have this health care team working with me.

I just love Dr. Hrebicek! She is unfailingly positive, helpful, and supportive. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and takes time to listen. I am so glad she is my neurologist. Her team of nurses and support staff are also great - kind, responsive, helpful.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Henri-Bhargava through her GP, Dr. Danika Milne. Dr. Henri-Bhargava is top knotch. He has amazing bedside manner, is thorough in his assessments and ordering of tests, and is compassionate and patient. He made my daughter feel very comfortable and confident being in his care. He doesn't rush to make a diagnosis, which is so welcome in my eyes, as this means he is going to get all of the necessary information and testing complete before getting to that stage. His staff at the Stroke Assessment Clinic at VGH are also incredible. They are so caring, prompt with calls and returning of calls/booking appointments, and informative.

Dr Henri-Bhargava and his staff are all kind and patient, and very accommodating. Dr Henri-Bhargava is very well informed and wise. Thank you so much for seeing my mother.

I find Dr. Henri-Bhargava very knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to memory issues, and he has a great staff who are also wonderful to work with.
