Dr. Pugh is just the best! My husband just had his second hip replacement, both done by Dr. Pugh. Communication was excellent with the Dr. He spoke in terms anyone could understand - did not use "doctorese" language. He phoned me both times after surgery was completed, to let me know how my husband fared through it. He also came to see my husband before he left the hospital. He also called the next day to hear how my husband was doing. We have nothing but great things to say about this doctor.

My whole Rebalance experience has been excellent led by the wonderful Dr. Pugh. State of the art clinic with great staff. He has been doing my knee injections for years with great success.

Dr. Pugh is extremely knowledgeable and user friendly. My recent knee replacement went incredibly and is on schedule for a total recovery. I would totally recommend him.

I had hip replacement surgery with Dr Pugh. He did a great job. I was able to start walking without a cane for short distances 8 days after surgery. He was friendly and answered all my questions. Dr. Pugh replaced my hip a few days ago using the STAR approach. I am very pleased with the results and healing. While at the hospital and asked who was the surgeon, everyone replied he is the best and you were in great hands. They are definitely correct. I found Dr Zarzour a great surgeon who did a fantasy job of my hip replacement. Great inpatient experience. Very knowledgeable and wise man. Would recommend him to anyone. Staff also wonderful. No complaints. Just waiting now for my second joint to be done ASAP.

Dr Zarzour is huge asset to our community, I feel very fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.

Dr Zarzour replaced one of my hips in December 2016. I moved to the mainland in 2018 and insisted on returning to the Island for my other hip replacement in late December 2019. Dr Zarzour offered to recommend a good surgeon in Vancouver but accepted that I wanted him to treat and follow up again. If I needed any other type of surgery he specialized in, I'd insist on returning to him. - SM Reply

I had a fractured wrist radius bone and it was operated on by Dr Zarzour. VGH is a busy place and I was one of many. But I prepared, I watched a video of the surgery the day before, it's a common injury, and he answered all my questions prior to operating. He was very professional and friendly as were the staff. At age 61, after a life filled with athletics and outdoor activities, I was informed both hips were shot. Bone on bone. In February Dr. Z replaced my right hip. The procedure was flawless, with a machine-like precision from intake to discharge. My right hip is well on its way to full functionality with no pain or residual issues, and a wicked scar to show off. I look forward to having the left hip done ASAP and getting my life back.
