This is by far one of the best places to begin a hike in the Durham Region. There are a number of trails that begin here and a lot of them have historical value. Off one of the trails, the Trans Canada trail, you can reach the original ghost town Brougham which is not north of Hwy 7 at Brock. It use to be south of there and hiking to the old location you will see ruins and other interesting stuff.

Year-Round

One of the kids favorite places to go to the beach or park. The kids loved the splash park as well as the playground right next to it. Also the snack bar on site was great and well priced. This is a huge park with a walking trail that goes for miles. Stroller friendly too. A great place to go to relax, play, or exercise.
