Tyrone Mills Ltd. is a traditional water-powered mill, built in 1846. It is sis located 32.2km downtown from Ajax, ON. Robert Shafer has owned and operated Tyrone Mills Ltd. for the past 30 years. The mill provides a wide range of high-quality products and promotes a strong community connection. The site is renowned for its expertise in flour milling and is one of Canada's oldest water-powered grist mills. The millstone and woodworking machinery are powered by interconnected belts, pulleys, and line shafting, with minimal modern modifications. Visitors can enjoy a picturesque walk along the dam during the summer or partake in shopping and festivities during the fall.
