We live nearby and in this area one can walk along the lake for a great distance without encountering city streets or traffic. Even in winter its nice walking. It's just lovely in this part of the GTA. Then you can stroll thru Port Credit and grab a bite on one of the many good resto's. See the marina in Port Credit Harbour. Walk to Clarkson. Superb walking area.

I live in the area and visit Lake Aquitaine almost daily. There's a huge multi-use trail which is ideal for walking, jogging, bikes, in-line skates, strollers & wheelchairs. There is also a fishing dock and outdoor fitness stations around the lake. It is popular year-round. Beautiful scenery and lots to do, including a large park, soccer fields and sprinkler pads for kids who want to cool off in the summer :) While you're there check out the new community centre! I highly recommend this spot.

Park is huge and offers lovely walks along the water. Many birds and fish. Grass area for walking or picnics and play area for kids. Walk from Dundas north to Burnhamthorpe if you want a good walk. Trails to follow. Walk your dog, ride your bike, take the kids to wonder. It's a fabulous place to visit.
