Since 1826

Museum, House, Landmarks, Historical Buildings, Architectural Buildings & Historical Society

In 1860 the house was renovated to give it a more neo-classical appearance with a wide central door flanked by side lights - This 26 feet by 36 feet building is a rare example in Mississauga of early 19th century log construction

Wed & Sun 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This log house was built by the Leslies, in Streetsville in 1826. the original logs are in beautiful condition. It was moved and placed on a firm foundation but keeps all the original charm of the pioneer family that built it. One of the sons of this family became very famous in the history of Toronto and much of this history is available for visitors to learn.

Learned so much! Loved the house and the grounds. The museum was well laid out and organized. And the house was filled with so many wonderful original items. And that amazing feeling of history that I love to experience was felt in every room of their house. Having the tour guide is a must and I highly recommend. Plus just an FYI they have a great schedule of all kind of events. For both children & adults.

105 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, ON L5H 1E9

Since 1991

Lighthouse, Landmarks, Historical Buildings, Recreational Activities, Walking & Jogging

The deck offers a great view of the Credit River as well as the beautiful harbour and the village of Port Credit - The Lighthouse is the most photographed building in Mississauga and is home to the Port Credit Business Association

Mon - Sun 6:30 am - 11:00 pm

One of the most familiar sights in Port Credit the lighthouse, and this is just a duplicate version of the old lighthouse burned in 1936. The area surrounding the lighthouse is home to recreational activities. Lot of boats are parked in water, which gives a pleasant photo view... You can see lot of people walking, jogging or merely here to enjoy a festival or two.
