We had such a fun time camping here. Fun bike course through the trees for the kids. Great playground. Tons of shade under the giant trees so you can escape the heat. Nice hike up to the swimming hole / waterfall. Hot water and big sinks for doing dishes. Lots of nature to explore (owls, deer, chipmunks, raccoons). Highly recommend getting a site near the playground.

love walking the 10 k and watching all of the inspirational runners. Its a great trail and a great place for a picnic! I take my dogs for walks at all sorts of places daily and this is the only place he actually refuses to leave! He pouts and runs away when it is time to get back in the car - even after doing the 10 K loop! Gotta love it !

There is a lot to do at Mt. Doug park. You can take one of the many trails to the top of the mountain or to the beach. My favorite thing to do is go up and watch the sunset. No matter how many times I go, the sunset is always just a little different. During the morning hours the road is closed to the top so people can hike, walk, jog, run up to the top and back. Later in the day, the road is open so you can drive to the top. Make sure you hike up all the way to the look out point for the sunset.
