NEW WESTMINSTER PUBLIC LIBRARY REVIEWS
Amazing library: always clean, extremely organized, professional and Friendly staff. I really like the new renovations and self-checkout options. Apparently the books are radio-frequency tagged so you don’t have to scan the barcode anymore (according to a librarian). You just place up to 5 items on the checkout scanner bed and it scans the DVDs as well! They offer great workshops thru WorkBC sometimes and various learning programs.
I would love to give more than 5 stars to this library, peacefull, very clean and organized, the staff are very cooperative and welcoming. No fee for any service except for print/copy 20 cents which is fare enough.
Always cooled, at least during summer months. They also host some awesome community events. The staff is very kind and helpful and Liz is just the best!

Irving House is the oldest fully preserved residence in the lower mainland, with its origins dating back to 1865. This historic house, originally constructed for riverboat captain William Irving, offers a captivating glimpse into the late Victorian and early Edwardian era. Comprising 14 furnished rooms, the house retains its original colonial-style architecture, meticulously preserved on the former property of Captain William Irving. The house's exterior has been meticulously restored and repainted to match the authentic colour scheme from around 1900. Irving House is a must-visit for anyone intrigued by the history of New Westminster, the Victorian and Edwardian periods, heritage architecture, or colonial British Columbia. During your visit, you'll be able to admire the intricate plasterwork on the ceilings, the warm glow of original wallpaper, and the elaborate fireplaces that grace the interior. Furthermore, you can easily envision the lively gatherings and celebrations that took place in the parlours and formal dining rooms of Irving House. For your convenience, guided tours are available in various languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Bengali, Mandarin, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, and Albanian.

IRVING HOUSE REVIEWS
This is a well kept museum/preserved home of British and Scottish background; we found the staff very accommodating and friendly. The metro van area is relatively non historic compared to many other parts in the world so its fun to have this type of underrated visit about. You wont be spending a lot of time here due to size but its fun experience in how homes used to be and the classic way of living. A nice little gem right in new west.
Must-go place, regardless you're local or tourist, The museum guide is every knowledgeable and nice & funny. After all, this little house bares a way magnificent story than you could imagine.
I still like The Commonwealth very much, and I miss the broken empire on which the sun never sets. Alas!
