New Westminster Museum and Archives is a contemporary collection of historical objects, documents, images, and automobiles from the local region. The museum has four facilities throughout New Westminster. New Westminster Museum and Archives strives to be an enjoyable and exciting place to study and engage with the artifacts, and the museum serves as an entry point to inquire, debate, and discover the city's history. The museum houses over 36,000 objects, 50,000 photographs, and 500 linear meters of archival records documenting the city's stories and heritage. The museum exhibits concentrate on the property, people, and area. New Westminster Museum and Archives aspires to be a fun place to learn and use the museum's collection of objects.

2025 Update: The museum consists of three galleries. The permanent gallery at Anvil Centre takes you on a journey of discovery, covering over 10,000 years of New Westminster history and ending in 2010. New Westminster Museum and Archives offers free Wi-Fi.
