“New Westminster Museum and Archives is a contemporary collection of historical objects, documents, images, and automobiles from the local region. The museum has four facilities throughout New Westminster. New Westminster Museum and Archives strives to be an enjoyable and exciting place to study and engage with the artifacts, and the museum serves as an entry point to inquire, debate, and discover the city's history. The museum houses over 36,000 objects, 50,000 photographs, and 500 linear meters of archival records documenting the city's stories and heritage. FRASER RIVER DISCOVERY CENTRE REVIEWS

Fraser River Discovery Centre is a cool spot for outdoor fun mixed with learning. Situated by the Fraser River, it's got awesome views and interesting exhibits about the river's history. You can enjoy the outdoors on riverfront paths and decks while checking out cool stuff. Whether you're into river history or just want a nice riverside walk, Fraser River Discovery Centre is a chill place for outdoor adventures and learning new things.

Hands down one of the best places I have brought kids too on a rainy day. Self guided tour thru a two story building FULL of interactive exhibits for kids. Place was extremely clean and well kept with very friendly and helpful staff. Fairly priced with no limit as to how many hours you can stay. Surrounded by some great lunch spots and a beautiful view.

Very informative centre! Learned a lot about the first Nations, the Fraser River, tag boats and a lot more!! Tha k you!

MOODY PARK ARENA REVIEWS

We’ve rented the rink here many times over the years and always had great experiences. The office staff/management who take your phone calls or answer emails are pleasant and helpful(Lisa, Shelby, Ron), and the ice attendants who work the arena at night are also super helpful, friendly and professional. The facilities are always clean and in good repair, the ice itself is pretty good too. We’ve also rented Queens Park Arena multiple times and had very similar experiences. These older arenas may not be as shiny and new as others in nearby municipalities but they’re definitely worth the money imho, and the people working here provide great customer service and are professional to deal with. New West is lucky to have such fine people taking care of their ice arenas.

Love this rink!. We organize weekly hockey pick-up games here with Hockey Community and the ice quality is great! My kids have skating and hockey lessons here and the instructors are patient, friendly and very helpful. Always been a great experience.

Great ice rink for drop in skating. Learned a lot about skates and how they need to be sharped when new. Helpful and friendly staff.

NEW WESTMINSTER MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES REVIEWS

The New Westminster Museum is a place you want to return to. The history of the city from the beginning to the present day is shown. From what is presented you will learn how the city developed and what life was like. Construction achievements and sports victories. Stories about brave firefighters and police officers. Even the door of the local university has been preserved! You can get acquainted with the paintings of local artists whose paintings are exhibited nearby. A wonderful place with free entry and comfortable places to relax.

Visit this museum. It's very interesting, and IT'S FREE!. You will learn about New Westminster history in general, including the indigenous people who inhabited and own this land. There is also an exhibit dedicated to lacrosse history.

Good place to bring the family or on your own. Great way to learn about New Westminster history.
