3 Best Tattoo Shops in New Westminster, BC

Went in to get my lip piercing checked out that I got done impulsively at a different studio. All my concerns were met with understanding and respect and taking very seriously. Natalia did an incredible job on explaining what she's doing asking for my consent throughout the entire process and making sure everything was sterile and safe. She gave me a longer bar and was incredibly gentle when doing removal and putting in the new bar. Immediately I felt a lot of that pressure is gone and my lip feels more comfortable now. I'll definitely be coming back for my jewelry change and to get my next piercing done here instead of an impulsive whatever is closest studio. As well the atmosphere and studio itself is really wonderful and clean, professionally kept but has a perfect level of whimsy in each place. Even the workers not involved with my piercing were friendly and kind smiling and respectful. - Tea N.

I can't recommend Blue Aura Tattoo enough. After months of struggling with irritation bumps and getting nowhere, I came in for a second opinion and spoke with Seb, the owner of the shop. He took the time to actually assess my piercings, explained what was going on, switched me to implant-grade titanium threadless flat-back jewelry, and gave me clear aftercare instructions instead of just brushing me off. Within just two days, the pain seems to be gone, the bumps have already started shrinking, and my piercings are looking and feeling so much better. I know it's still early, but I'm already seeing a huge improvement. - T.

Got my first two tattoos done by Gen, a month ago, and they both turned out great! Everyone was friendly, and the studio was very clean and relaxing. Absolutely recommend Blue Aura, and will definitely go back.

Really awesome studio to get pierced at! Sebastian is really helpful in replacing my old studs and matching them with my newly pierced second lobes. My piercings have always had issues healing, and I was informed it could have been because of the poor quality jewelry I had (stainless steel). He fit me with new Titanium posts with zirconia crystals and took care of me step by step. He was also super informative with aftercare, really broke down all of the healing process and what l should expect so I have no worries. I Left with an aftercare card and some saline as recommended too. The shop itself is incredibly clean, spacious and the it's super well decorated. The staff are also such a delight especially Nat, (I was super anxious at first coming in) but they all greeted me with smiles and made me feel more than welcome. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, my new favourite piercing studio, and hopefully first tattoo soon to come! I had a great experience getting tattooed from Danny. From the consultation to the appointment he made me feel very comfortable and was incredibly attentive, patient and kind. I only showed him one reference photo and sent him a text describing the meaning behind the tattoo and he came up with such an incredible design with so much intention and meaning behind it. The shop itself is very welcoming and the vibes are great. I can confidently say that Danny cares a lot about his clients and the artwork. He puts a lot of effort throughout the process and the tattoo. If you’re looking for someone who cares about the work and the person wearing it, I can’t recommend him enough.

My husband and I got tattooed here yesterday and had such an amazing experience. What really stood out was how easygoing and welcoming the whole vibe was. The shop is bright and clean, and Shiva's energy made the session fly by. Highly recommend this place to anyone considering getting a tattoo. Whether it's your first or tenth, you'll walk out loving the experience.

I've been going here for over a year. Didier is my artist and I'm super happy with his work and his dedication to my tattoos. Everyone is really talented and welcoming, it's a great atmosphere.
