He also completed his residency training in neurosurgery at the University of Calgary, while also completing an interdisciplinary PhD degree in Medical Science at the University of Toronto. His clinical research includes general neurosurgery practice, open cerebrovascular surgery, and endovascular surgery. Dr. Michael Tso is an active staff member at Kelowna General Hospital and has helped establish the stroke thrombectomy program there.

Thanks to Dr. Govender I have my life back. This doctor performed a lamenectomy at L3, 4, and 5 along with a decompression. I have had this injury for a very long time ama the doctor in Ontario wanted to fuse it. When I moved here I had to start all over and I couldn't have found a more caring and skilled doctor. He's very honest and if he doesn't feel he can help you he will let you know. Thank you so much Dr. Govender from the bottom of my heart.

Dr Govender performed a laminectomy last fall and I was totally impressed with the results of the surgery. He gave me my life back as I was headed towards having to use a walker and possibly wheel chair had he not performed this procedure. So very grateful to him.

Dr Govender performed at triple Laminectomy on me . He was very professional and he explained what to expect both pre and post surgery. I would highly recommend him.

I am so thankful to have had Dr Tso as my spinal surgeon. He was excellent as well as kind and accommodating, even visiting me in ER between his surgeries to make sure all was well. Surgery went smoothly. It's obvious he cares about his patients and the professionals I've met that know him have only good things to say about him.

I was fortunate to have Dr.Tso and his team complete my brain surgery. He is indeed a brilliant individual and I was beyond lucky to have him as my surgeon. He is very dedicated to his patients.

Our Son had brain surgery by Dr Tso on Oct 16 it was a success, he was kind, and positive.
