Delicious sushi in Nanaimo! Relaxed atmosphere, great quality sushi. Dynamite roll was massive. I ordered salmon toro nigiri, dynamite roll and rainbow roll. All were delicious! (Yet too much food for one person, my mistake). Looking forward to going back.

So impressed by Sushi Ryu! We came for the gluten free food (Celiac, so it's an allergy, not a preference), and we were SO impressed by the attention to detail in regards to gluten. They have a separate GF menu, GF condiments, and the staff was extremely attentive regarding the allergy. The food was fresh and great quality. We'll absolutely be back!

shared ramen and a roll with my wife, the ramen was outstanding our server was wonderful and chef AJ was a gem of a human the portion sizes are enormous and the presentation was great highly recommend this restaurant

Lots of options on the menu, including a variety of vegetarian rolls. Price point hits a sweet spot. Our server was helpful, and also took care of our special requests. Most of the crockery that arrived at our table was either chipped/cracked - something that can be looked into. But, overall a good experience & the food was delicious.

First time at this place despite being told to go by more than a few different people. Convenient location, greeted by all staff when arriving. Clean and smells delicious. Menu selection is decent but not overwhealming. Prices are on par as are portion sizes. Service was speedy and attentive. Food was all fresh and tasty! This will definitely be a contender with our other local favorite!

Stopped here twice while in town! Really friendly staff, fast service, and great food. The house salad was amazing, miso soup good, tempura- both vegetable and prawn were crispy and delicious. For lunch, I ordered a lunch box, which come with a small salad, miso soup, mixed tempura, and some choice of rolls. Also had the dynamite rolls and the crazy girl rolls- very good !! Will go again.
