The Way Out Society has been truly life-changing for me. The transformation I’ve experienced since entering this program is nothing short of astounding. Through their guidance, I’ve been able to recover from substance use, build a strong and meaningful foundation in recovery, and genuinely flourish in my life. The programs were incredibly informative and thoughtfully designed, giving me the tools and understanding I needed to create real, lasting change. The staff are inspiring, compassionate, and deeply invested in the people they serve. Their care goes far beyond professionalism—you can truly feel how much they believe in each client’s potential. Kim, in particular, is nothing short of a miracle worker. Her dedication, wisdom, and unwavering support made an immeasurable difference in my journey. The community of women in the program also played a huge role in my recovery—the encouragement, understanding, and shared strength among clients created a level of support that I will always be grateful for. Because of The Way Out Society, I’ve become the mom I always knew I could be—present, healthy, and hopeful. For any woman or mother seeking meaningful recovery and a supportive, empowering environment, I would wholeheartedly recommend The Way Out Society.

Having a daughter who struggles with addiction has been very challenging and it is even more so when you, as a mother, cannot help her. After reviewing many different "women only" treatment facilities far and wide, we landed on this one based on the feeling I got when I spoke to Kim Mohs, the Director of the Centre. She is approachable, empathetic, knowledgeable, and very experienced in helping women struggling with addictions. She is amazing at guiding women through the recovery process and I am so appreciative of her efforts in supporting our daughter through this difficult time. Time has passed and our daughter is determined to live the life she has always wanted. This is a result of her own hard work and dedication, along with the lasting love, encouragement, and support from Kim. Thank you for helping me get my daughter back.

The Way Out recovery society in Kelowna is a life changing experience. Our family is extremely grateful to Kim and her team for saving the life of someone we love very much. Kim and her husband go above and beyond to care for those that need a hand up. This place saved my life. The staff and support are incredible, the place is full of love and support. I honestly never thought I would get sober, I was destroyed in everyway possible.. mentally, physically, spiritually, even emotionally. I can honestly say I am now over 2 years sober and I am back to myself. This place helped me find God and helped me find myself again. So grateful to everyone there that was a part of my journey, met some of the most solid guys in that place. If you are sick and struggling and you are serious about getting your life back this is the place to do it. Thank you Freedom's Door for giving me my life back.

This is a place of love and kindness. In most cases some form of sadness or trauma caused the problems men face and this truly is a place to heal through love both from the staff right down to the other men struggling. Ill always have a special place for them all in my heart. This program Saves lives 100%.

They have a winning formula which is love, most importantly God's love,this program is the reason I've been able to reach over a years sobriety, something I've failed to do attending other treatment facilities. Many thanks.

It would be simple to say, that Karis saved our daughter's life but as with most families who have a child or loved one struggling through addiction it is never that simple. It is often said, "You don't know what you don't know" and in recovery what most of us don't know is it takes a sustainable long-term recovery program to help create lasting results. Well, Karis offers exactly that, time, treatment, accountability, and guidance intending to create meaningful and sustainable change. Our daughter after trying some short-term treatment facilities and struggling to "get clean" on her own was fortunate to find Karis and has never looked back. The change was gradual at first, but then one day you could see it in her eyes, it was unexpected and made me cry (as it does now). She was not only alive and safe but through her eyes, I could see the person we fought so hard to save had finally found her way back. We don't know where our family would be without Karis but we do know we would not be here so thank you.

Absolutely life changing. All the girls are amazing. The workers are so kind and wonderful. Beautiful place in a beautiful spot in sunny kelowna bc.
