If not for the care and services I received from Edgewood, I would probably still be in-depth with my addiction and confused and not sure of who I am as a person. I have learned a lot about life, more importantly about myself. The lessons I learned from this facility, the clinical staff, the counsellors, the nursing staff, the chaplains, support staff, the chefs and cooks, housekeeping and maintenance staff, staff at Rascals, personal trainers, volunteers, and more importantly, from the opportunities of listening to my peers’ stories and vulnerabilities, opened my eyes that there is hope, amidst our circumstances in life, that we all are worthy of love. I received compassion and empathy from the people at Edgewood. My journey at Edgewood gave me an opportunity to life, helped me accept who I am as a person, and showed me love when it was difficult for me to love myself. The 50 days I spent at Edgewood, I would say is such a spiritual journey. This place truly is special and would always have a place in my heart.

Edgewood saved my life. I was broken, filled with rage and hopelessness, and they taught me how to heal. Edgewood gave me a safe place to start working through my pain. More than just the inpatient treatment; I’m almost four years sober now, and Edgewood is still a huge part of my recovery. The community, connection, purpose, service, laughter and fun I have as a part of the alumni community is unparalleled. I am so grateful to have experienced such a profound degree of care while I was a patient there, and even more grateful for the ongoing support, friendship, eduction, and inspiration I get through my continued connection to this thriving community of incredible people. Edgewood not only gave me my life back, but it gave me myself back too.

Profound and life changing: I attended the 10-week CTAP program for Veterans and First Responders. Edgewood provides separate housing for uniformed members, which I found was of enormous utility. Moreover the treatment modality is tailored to the individual member/ serviceman's needs. I did not witness anyone enter this course who failed to improve greatly during their stay. I highly endorse this course for Veterans.

Tru is one of the only places where clients can feel dignity and respect in our community. Trish and Taylor have provided a loving environment. to many. Dr Lea and Dr. Torrie have provided much needed medical treatment in a professional and accepting environment. I cannot express how comforting it was to know that Tru was there for my son when he needed them and now that he is clean and sober he has lifetime friendships with the staff. Thank you for being in our community. Never stops doing what your doing, the world needs more people like you.

Awesome clinic, amazing people. I have been to 5 or 6 different clinics within a ten year period, and Trew Beginnings was hands down the very best. Trish and Tay and the doctors were very helpful, caring, and were instrumental in my recovery. I am very grateful for Trew Beginnings and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for recommendations.

This November will be 7 years that I went from smoking a deck a day...to spending 1 hour at Laser Center for Health. ..and have been a non smoker since. Never thought about cheating. Was easy for me. Then about 4 years ago, I recommended it to my 86 yr young Uncle and after smoking for 60 years, he too stopped that day he visited Laser Center for Health.
