MEDICAL ARTS CENTRE REVIEWS

For being the only walk-in clinic in the city, they're doing a fantastic job. Can't imagine how overwhelmed they are and the doctor shortage isn't their fault. If you need to access the walk-in clinic, my best advice is to show up as soon as the mall opens at 7AM. Even when I arrive that early, I'm often between 10th and 20th in line. I've always been treated well here, the doctors and nurses are wonderful. It's also very easy to get to--most bus routes in the city stop across the street at the bus exchange.

The Medical Arts clinic is the only medical facility in Nanaimo willing to have a walk-in clinic. They do this in addition to their own practice clients and dedication to the service of the people Of Nanaimo. They deserve the upmost respect for the challenging job in front of them. Despite the heavy load they are well organized. I find generally that the front staff could be more welcoming.

Good location for a Walk in Clinic, very busy but friendly, 3 waiting rooms, allow scheduling for doctor or nurse appointment, friendly staff.

I had an excellent experience at the Nanaimo Urgent and Primary Care Centre. The staff were professional, kind, and very efficient. From check-in to being seen, everything was handled smoothly and with genuine care. The doctor took her time to listen, explain, and make sure I felt supported. It’s reassuring to know such a reliable and compassionate service is available in our community. Thank you to all the lovely staff members who assisted me.

Every person I interacted with here was super friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean, basically brand new, and high security, which I thought was great. Thank you All, you're great.

I was able to make an appt the same day. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful.

OCEANSIDE HEALTH CENTRE REVIEWS

Yesterday, after being turned away from two clinics in Nanaimo and unable to get in to see my doctor until next week, I drove out to Parksville to the drop-in clinic. I'm 82 years old and live alone. I'd been sick for two weeks with a dreadful bug. I'd used all my known remedies, including nasal rinses etc. Yesterday, I decided I needed medical help. After the frustration with being turned away at clinics in Nanaimo I decided to go to the VIHA Oceanside clinic in Parksville. My wait time was approximately an hour and a half. The physician who treated me was Dr. Wong. I was really impressed with Dr Wong, plus the professionalism and efficiency of the clinic staff. I was treated with respect and kindness. Thank you. Our health care system is currently a mess, but I want to thank all the front line workers who are doing a wonderful job in helping us to stay healthy.

I was there from 2-5. The staff were calm and the blonde Nurse was very efficient. My 5 stars are especially to Dr. Ratnasabapathy, an amazing female doctor which I appreciated because it made me comfortable. Her demeanour was lovely and thorough. She concluded the visit with taking care of my concerns. Thank you for your wonderful help!

My wife and I have both been once as well do not have a family physician. The wait time was reasonable and the doctors were fabulous. We are fortunate to have this facility.
