Ten years ago I was in a minor car accident that left me with chronic neck and back pain. At the suggestion of my naturopath, I began seeing Beverley Spidle for massage therapy. As a result of the massage therapy that I received I am now pain free. This is important enough to repeat: my treatments with Bev completely alleviated my pain. Not only am I free from physical pain, I am no longer emotionally stressed as a result of being in pain. I realized that I simply adjusted to the pain and accepted it and now that I am free of it I fully realize the negative impact that it had on my life. I am so grateful for Bev’s exceptional skill and commitment in getting me through this. Last July I became pregnant with my first child. I have consistently seen Bev throughout the nine months of my pregnancy. At each stage Bev was able to make me more comfortable as my body adjusted to my advancing pregnancy. I so look forward to my weekly massage because know that I will leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and much more comfortable. Seeing Bev for massage therapy has had a profound positive impact on my overall health and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to integrate the massage therapy that she delivers into my health care regiment.

For my first massage I was in extreme body pain and stiffness that made it difficult to turn over on the table. I have been going to Hillside Massage Therapy for years now and have never been disappointed. Although Cari Cooper is unfortunately no longer with the clinic, as she has started her own clinic I would highly recommend her to those living in South Nanaimo. Tiffany is a fantastic RMT who has the right amount of pressure in her massages and knows how to hit those spots so that your tense muscles begin to relax (you can't help but leave the studio in a state of euphoria). Tarynn is a new graduate massage therapist whom I have had the pleasure of seeing a few times, she is very knowledgeable and thorough in her assessment process. Tarynn takes her time to understand your problem areas and customize her massages that are tailored to your specific needs. I also like that Tarynn provides some additional teaching on stretches that can be performed at home to reduce muscle tension and stiffness. Overall, I love the ease of booking appointments online as I have a busy schedule, and the flexible of booking with different clinicians based on availability. Laurie is an amazing RMT ever! she's very skilled, professional, thorough and knowledgeable. She mainly performs moderate deep tissue massage and if you are into it, she's the one! I've been getting massage more than 15years in various places and Laurie's definitely one of the best. I'm so happy I met her, not only skillful but a beautiful person. I highly recommend her to anyone who's in pain especially.
