“2025 Update: Dr. Gerald Adams practices as an interventional cardiologist at the Queen’s Department of Medicine Faculty. He completed his medical education at the Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty of Medicine. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He began the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) program at KHSC, and in 2000, led the team to become the first PCI lab in Ontario to provide 24/7 Primary PCI for STEMI. Dr. Gerald Adams has extensive experience in cardiology administration, having served as Division Chair, Program Director, Cardiology Service Chief, and in postgraduate training leadership. He is an adjunct faculty member with the department and continues to be an active clinical member in the PCI lab, inpatient services and outpatient stress testing. He is affiliated with the Providence Care Centre in Kingston and Kingston Health Sciences Centre in Kingston.”

Good listener. Answers questions in an easy to understand way. I managed to get an evening appointment at his clinic, Kingston Cardiology Assoc, and he even supervised my treadmill test. He and his tech worked well together to alleviate my anxiety about doing the treadmill test - very calming and competent staff!

So very impressed and thank you Dr. Lahaye You have a great report, you review your charts before seeing your patient and you felt you figured out why I was "dropping"......medication and I'm hoping you were right. Thank you for your knowledge and dedication.

This man saved my life. I kept going into VT and VF. My ICD kept shocking me. I was admitted and kept until it figured out. The right meds were found and I've been doing great ever since.

I survived a heart attack last October thanks to Dr. McClellan's skill of installing a stent in one of my blocked arteries. I am extremely grateful and owe her a huge and heartfelt "Thank You" for giving me another chance on life. From afar, please except a big hug form this old guy.

The good doctor has treated me since March 2007 following my third heart attack after a 6 graft bypass in 1999, thanks to her expertise I am still here in Jan 2019.

Helpful, knowledgeable and willing to discuss findings in a manner even the terminally stupid can understand.

Dr Adams - in my opinion - is one of the best cardiologists in the city and KGH must be proud to have him on staff. After being admitted to Emergency with chest pains following a cardiology procedure the day before and after I spent the night with many tests and very good quality care in the Emergency Dept.Dr Adams arrived early the following morning to review my situation. I found him to be EXCELLENT in every way and would certainly see him if I lived in the Kingston area. Not only that - he has a wonderful caring bedside manner.

Dr.Adams is an excellent cardiologist, and his follow-through with my concerns was great. Starting from my phone call with Lisa to all the staff that I met and treated me.totally professional.thx dr. Adams, what a great team.

Kind, caring and considerate. Kept a concerned patient calm and well informed. Surgery successful.
