“Merciful Redeemer Parish is a well-known church in Mississauga. The church is a dynamic Roman Catholic community inspired by the Father’s love and mercy and empowered by the Holy Spirit to help fulfill the mission of Christ. Fr Joseph established the church in 1996. Fr Joseph Wasik can also be mentioned as the founding pastor of the church. The church establishment of the new parish community was a response to the overcrowding of the neighbouring churches. The first mass was celebrated for the first time in 2001 after moving to the new building. Merciful Redeemer Parish is one of the older, active and growing establishments that includes four elementary schools, Their Lady of Mercy, St. Sebastian, Divine Mercy and St. Rose of Lima and a high school named St. Aloysius Gonzaga, across the church. Merciful Redeemer Parish church blessing and dedication of the church to the Merciful Redeemer was led by Cardinal Ambrozic on April 7, 2002. If you seek peace of mind and a welcoming community, consider visiting the church with your loved ones.”
