It involves regular technique classes, evening and weekend rehearsals, travel to competitions outside of the city, and a higher level of commitment. They extend Summer Camp registration also.”

“Leisa's School of Dance offers lessons in tap, ballet, jazz, majorette, hip hop, baton, and lyrical/contemporary. Eight-week sessions of Parent and Tot classes are provided especially for children. They offer Summer Camps. Leisa Whalen is the owner and a fellow of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Dance has been taught by her for more than 38 years, and her studio has been owned and operated since 1986. Her dance knowledge and skills continue to be studied and upgraded. Opportunities for student growth are provided through classes, workshops, examinations, community events, and year-end recitals by her as a dance educator.

2025 Update: Parent & Tot, a half-hour class, is offered by Leisa's School of Dance and is focused on introducing children to music and movement through playful activities.”

2025 Update: Recreational classes are offered by 5678 Dance Studio for students who wish to dance once per week, per discipline. Pre-professional programs are also provided by them, designed to ensure that specific training markers that are aligned with other international pre-professional programs are being met by students.”

Arabesque has been for 3 years my oldest daughter school of dance. She has developed not only acro and contemporary dance skills but also strength and confidence. It is friendly, professional and very welcoming dance school for all ages. Amazing team, you all rock!!

My daughter's loved their intro to dance at Arabesque. Their teachers were fun, patient and excellent at managing tons of 3 year olds. My girls loved their classes, Tiny Tumblers and Creative Movement. Miss Sharon responds Immediately. I highly recommend Arabesque Academy!!

They are super accommodating. My daughter loves her dance teacher and class! She is in creative movements :).

5678 DANCE STUDIO REVIEWS

5678 truly stands out from the rest. They have found the magical formula of achieving excellence while providing a safe, fun and developmentally appropriate atmosphere. I have heard students from other dance schools even refer to 5678 as the best place for technical instruction in Kingston, and it shows- they have a steady line of students who move on to professional dance companies! Lastly, there is a true sense of community. Dancers develop holistically while growing as dancers and as contributing members of the 5678 family.

Amazing staff and welcoming atmosphere. Dancers are trained to work hard, do their best but most importantly have fun! Bilingual and this is only studio in Kingston to offer exams in ADAPT jazz and tap as well as RAD ballet AND certified in Acrobatic Arts.

My two granddaughters dance here and it is a very special place. Very warm and fun atmosphere with great staff especially the teachers. Love that my grandkids enjoy being there.
