The park is owned and maintained by Metro Vancouver and encompasses 260 hectares of meadow and forest at the headwaters of the Serpentine River in Guildford. The park has diverse wildlife, including owls, hawks, and coyotes. The park's trails and pathways meander through mixed forest groves, open fields, and the gentle Serpentine River valley. Tynehead Regional Park features over ten kilometres of hiking and walking trails, a five-kilometre cycling trail, a leash-optional area, and a seasonally operated fish hatchery. The park is a perfect place to combine shaded forests, open fields, streams, trails, and paved paths all in one location. Tynehead Regional Park is wonderful in the summer.
