I have been to the Peace Arch Provincial Park for an annual picnic for the last 3 - 4 years with the Federal Retirees. The view of the Pacific Ocean is great. Lots of open spaces and huge trees for shade. They provide picnic tables and BBQ facilities. For a large group, I believe you would have to make reservations....

260 Hectares of meadow and forest on the banks of the Serpentine River headwaters in Guildford - Offer 2.5 Hectare (6 acres) dog off-leash area

Mon - Sun 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

Love this place - I keep going back. Lots of nice paved trails. Plenty of parking, but there's always spots, even with it usually being busy. An excellent, mostly fenced, dog off-leash area. The off-leash area is very large, with a good path throughout, and has grassy and bushy areas. Negative thing is that the dog poo bags provided here are always shredded. The holders are busted open and all bags are shredded.

Blackie Spit is a park with both a waterfront beach as well as a wildlife conservation area. It's a great place for a walk, for birdwatching, for a swim, for launching small watercraft, for picnics, for spending time with dogs or just enjoying sunsets. The dog park here has a large area for off leash land activities as well as a separate dog beach.
