“Johnny Farina is a casual, family-run restaurant with dark wood accents. The restaurant provides a lot of wines, wood-fired pizza, pasta, and classic Italian entrees. They provide over two floors and three rooms in a former movie theatre in Ottawa's trendy Elgin Street district. Situated in the larger of the two original theatres, their dining room has 35-foot ceilings. The restaurant specializes in making pasta fresh every day. The extensive menu offers a wide selection of appetizers and pasta dishes with traditional favourites. They have a private dining room on their second floor for groups of 60 to 80 guests for any special event. Their bar and lounge is a private venue for cocktails ranging from 40 to 120 guests.

2025 Update: Anthony (Tony) Iafelice is the owner, operator and founder of the restaurant. Johnny Farina offers something for everyone through three different atmospheres, Italian-inspired culinary delights, eclectic beverages and genuinely passionate service. Gift certificates are also available at the restaurant.”

The restaurant provides private rooms and the best services to host all kinds of intimate events or groups of 2 up to 50 people. Vittoria Trattoria can accommodate a party as large as 140 people. They also provide an extensive range of cocktail menus. The restaurant offers gift cards that make excellent gifts for your friends and family.

2025 Update: Harjeet and Stacey are the owners of the restaurant. Vittoria Trattoria offers a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes, complemented by a wine selection of over 600 labels. The restaurant is an open concept dining room with a view of the open kitchen from any seat in the house. The main focal point is the floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar, which is spectacular. The place is an absolute gem! Live everything here. Id go just for their calamari which is always perfect made served with lots of arugula just the way I like First time trying the “Jonny Ferina Penne Pasta” which comes with tons of chicken in a creamy sauce. Feels like it’s a lot for one person! Secondly this time we got Arugula & Prosciutto Pizza. No words ! Perfect Love the place and the food and the servers are super nice and helpful to pick an option and with their service One of my Go to Restaurants in Elgin Street.

The staff were very nice in helping dry off a table to accommodate sitting out on the patio after it rained, then helped us out by moving us inside after it started raining again! The location and atmosphere is nice. I had a white sangria and the canadian pizza - both were delicious.

A nice restaurant without a great atmosphere, especially in the summer. The pizza is traditional, so if you are used to the American version, you are up for a surprise. The pasta is really good.

A great place for Italian food! I've been here twice and their food didn't disappoint us! The only the was the waiter kept rushing us on NYE, I'm not sure if it's because they needed our table but we felt like we couldn't fully sit and enjoy our food because the waiter kept hovering over us. The food on NYE was very good and on their regular days I love their seafood pasta! In the pictures are some dishes from the course menu on NYE.

Great place for authentic Italian food served in a traditional looking restaurant with amazing service! Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy great Italian cuisine in the heart of Canada’s capital city. The variety of food and the taste of fresh ingredients makes this old fashioned restaurant really unique and a must visit for anyone looking for something special.

Amazing food and fast service. Waiter had a great sense of humour and made the experience enjoyable. Spaghetti alla carbonara was perfect. Would recommend.

This is a very nice restaurant. It has a nice ambience with a classy feel to it. The service from the Greeter at the front door to paying our bill was outstanding. Our Waiter was exceptional. He was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. I had the beef tenderloin and I will say it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Cooked perfectly and I could cut it with a fork it was so tender.

From crispy fried calamari to heavenly pizza, pasta, each bite is a testament to the talented kitchen staff. Expertly cooked salmon and savory chicken dish was delectable. And for dessert, indulge in the delicious tartufo and tiramisu. With impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere, it's more than just a meal. Thank you.

This restaurant has an outdoor patio with heated lamps. Indoor bar area and a dinning room. The Italian brick oven vegetarian pizza was very good. The restaurant made an accommodation to make an white sauce pasta with vegetables. The service is excellent.
