“The Grand Pizzeria and Bar is a brick-walled space with a separate bar that serves wood-fired pizzas, pasta & burgers. All their pizza are made from simple & fresh ingredients. The restaurant has 150 seats inside and during the spring, summer and fall months, another 170 seats on the patio, making it the largest patio in Ottawa. They use their traditional wood-burning oven that is situated in the middle of the dining room, with their Pizzaoli working behind, perfecting all of their pizzas. They only use fresh and seasonal ingredients to make gourmet pizzas. They made pizza dough using refined type 00 Italian wheat flour kneaded by hand. Their Pizzaoli crafts their meal using the recipes and techniques that have made Napoletana pizza famous.

2025 Update: The Grand Pizzeria and Bar offers happy hour specials for its customers to have a lovely dining experience. The restaurant offers vegan options and great cocktails for its customers.”

It is located in the byward market of Ottawa downtown. They have amazing Pizza, wood burning oven Napolethana style. The Grand Pizzeria in Ottawa is a popular spot known for its delicious pizzas and Italian cuisine. Located in the heart of Ottawa, it offers a cozy atmosphere and a wide variety of pizzas, pasta, and other Italian dishes. It's a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family if you're in the area! Vegetarian options: They have few vegetarian options in Pizza and Pasta.

Had a leek and mushroom ravioli which was good and my friend had a poutine. He commented that the price of the poutine was more than normal but when he received it was impressed by its generous size. My ravioli was a good size and would suggest for its price a better presentation or at least some extra olives or small piece of bread on the side. Very good atmosphere and good service. Vegetarian options: Just look for the letter “V” for vegetarian dishes.

Second visit but first review, great ambiance, excellent attention and varied menu with authentic ingredients and recipes. Adrian took great care of our party. The garlic bread with cheese and pesto was a nice surprise. Pizza was delicious (including the charred edges, add a new dimension to pizza). Finally, fresh, perfectly balanced tiramisu and Lavazza coffee to close the meal.

My parents have talked about Louis Pizza being one of the best Pizza places when they were young. This place should be a local Ottawa Heritage Site. It still has the same look and feel of a 60s dinner, This place has character, old Ottawa character. Food is good, Pizza is good, the Pie was good. The charm of this old dinner is was good. Like stepping back in time. If you want to call yourself an Ottawa Local, you have to know and have eaten at Louis Pizza.

Love going to family owned restaurants. This one is opened since 1970. The staff was extremely friendly. Prices are decent. The restaurant needs a little bit of love. I was afraid that my booth seats was going to break under me. Super busy at dinner time.

The place seems old but never dirty. Food re delicious, specially their dessert coconut cake. We traveled extra 1hr to Ottawa just to bring their food back to Mississauga. Worthy choice.

I am typically not a fan of thin crust pizza, which made me reluctant to try the pizza from here. I am so glad I didn’t listen to the voices in my head because the pizza I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had! Not only was the service impeccable with an exciting atmosphere, but the appetizers and pizza will be hard to forget! Just thinking about it now makes me want to go back this evening!

Shout out to Patrick and Grace who went out of their way to ensure a fabulous evening for us and our 14 yr old on his birthday! Appreciate you all! - Kerry & Magdalena and Daniel :))) (shout out to Mark our amazing server with great life/work ethic tips for our son!)

Had a great dinner here, we ate on the patio and it was very nice. The food was delicious. We got the garlic parm fries and they were so good.
