He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in 2009, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2014. He then completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Washington, where he earned both his Master of Science in Dentistry and his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics in 2017. That same year, he completed the Fellowship Exam of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and became board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Hou has published several research articles in leading journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and Progress in Orthodontics. He actively keeps up with the latest advancements in digital orthodontics and Invisalign® treatment, and he continues to conduct research in the field. Dr. Hou is an active member of the BC Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
