City Park has a long sandy beach, lawn bowling, children's waterpark, aqua park, picnic area, playground, skateboard park, running track, and mobile and static concession stands. The park is an excellent location for a birthday party, an elegant reception, a community festival, and a company conference. City Park has a fitness station and an outdoor kids' activity area. This park also includes lots of green grass and large trees to provide you with a nice place to sit and enjoy the beautiful lakefront City. The park has features like wheelchair access, change rooms and washroom facilities.

2025 Update: The area provides an engaging environment for dogs and their owners, featuring agility elements like tunnels, beams, and poles.

Knox Mountain Park is a highly recommended and peaceful place for hiking. For walking and bicycling, both hikes are awesome. This park has a beautiful mountain with amazing scenic beauty, surrounded by water and trees. This is the best place to get lost in nature and find yourself. The park has many water activities in the lake, and the view from the top of the hike is just fabulous. Knox Mountain Park definitely gives a great workout with spectacular views. At this park, a small parking area is available at the base of the mountain by the tennis court. All their staff are friendly manner. Knox Mountain Park spans 385 hectares and is located just north of downtown. Additional parking is available on the western side of the base of Knox Mountain.

2025 Update: Knox Mountain Park allows dogs.

The park has a broad boardwalk, beautifully landscaped gardens, and public art. Waterfront Park has sandy beaches, easy access to restaurants, paddle boat rentals and boat launches. This park has facilities like a boardwalk and a playground. Waterfront Park also has a new recreational space. This is a wonderful place to walk, bike ride, or even do water sports. The park has lots of paid parking, and rental bikes are available.
