“Fairy Lake Park is a 13.4-hectare park that has picnic areas and beautiful walking paths winding around the lake, bridges, and well-maintained parkland. There are many things for children available in this park at their special events, such as face painting, train rides and playing on bouncy castles. The park has a pavilion offering shelter, a barbecue site and chess/checker tables. Fairy Lake Park features music, demonstrations, dance, and other activities. There are also plenty of benches available to sit and relax. The park is open year-round and free of charge. Fairy Lake Park is a perfect place for walking, cycling, and bird watching. Waterways and marshland are known as the Wesley Brooks Conservation Area includes the dam at the Water Street bridge, which is used for flood control.”

“George Richardson Park covers over 74 acres of land. The park has an extensive area for soccer and baseball. The park has mature trees and Plants growing along the river path. George Richardson Park has beautiful park space, picnic pavilions, and water fountains scattered throughout the park. It also has kids' water games, event conducting areas, and recreational amenities. The park also has a leash-free dog park catering to Dog companions. George Richardson Park is the perfect place to get fresh air, be tranquil, and listen to the birds singing. There are ample parking spaces available.

2025 Update: George Richardson Park also has extensive areas for baseball and soccer.”

The park has colourful splash pads and sprayers for children, custom shade shelters of leaves, retaining walls, concrete paving, accessible ramping and seat walls. Frank Stronach Park provides guaranteed fun for young ones. There are also picnic tables and lots of grass for kids to run around. The park has wheelchair access and a lot of parking facilities. This park is quiet, clean and well-maintained. It has an engaging splash pad and comfortable seating tables surrounded by ample shade, a playground, and a soccer field.”

FAIRY LAKE PARK REVIEWS

A good and peaceful place might be described as follows: Imagine a serene lakeside retreat, where the gentle lapping of water against the shore harmonizes with the soft rustling of leaves in the cool breeze. The air is crisp and fresh, carrying the subtle fragrance of pine and wildflowers. Sunlight filters through the canopy of trees, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. Comfortable seating is arranged to offer unobstructed views of the tranquil water, perfect for quiet reflection or enjoying a good book. The ambiance is further enhanced by the distant sounds of birdsong and the occasional splash of fish in the lake, creating a perfect sanctuary for relaxation and peace.

To complete a visit in Newmarket, a visit to Fairy Lake is a must. There's a creative playground for the kids, restrooms, gazebos, nature walking paths, benches to rest along the journey and being there put smiles on people's faces. It also serves as a community venue for events such as the Lions club Artisans Festival Father's Day weekend and among the older trees has served in the past as a perfect setting for Shakespeare in the park. The fountain near the bridge in the summer is especially a treat to see day or night.

Playground: Nice and big playground with a plenty of bench for parents.

This is a nice park. A lake with water fowl. Great place to wait and walk while waiting for patients to complete their medical appointments. It is a shame that people stop here for lunch and leave litter when there is a garbage bin right by the play structure.

Great spot, clean, well kept and maintained. Kids have fun at the playground, lots of potty’s, lots of parking

One of our favourite places to go with the kids for a hour or two on a nice day.

This park stands out as one of the finest in the area. With its engaging splash pad, comfortable seating surrounded by ample shade, playground and soccer field , it offers a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. While the current amenities include portable bathrooms, having actual washrooms and a water fountain will surely complete this park. Restrooms: Portable bathroom. Picnic area: Nice benches for group picnics under shades.

Best Place To Take Your Family To Enjoy a nice day or evening. Playground: Probably one of the nicest parks in all of Ontario. They have a insane water park that my kids absolutely have a blast every time we go.

My kids loved the splash pad and park. It was quiet, clean and well-maintained. Limited but free parking in a dedicated lot.
