One of the tourist parks in the heart of Ottawa. As the name suggests it it is dedicated to the creation of the Canadian confederacy. This recreative outdoor facility is well liked by tourists and locals alike. It has a number of interesting monuments including one dedicated to the animals used in battles. The best part is the open space towards the Rideau canal.
Confederation Park is an urban green space that has great wide perspectives on surrounding buildings, a number of trees that provide shade on a hot day and plenty of benches to rest your weary feet after a walk through downtown. A totem pole, a couple of monuments honoring Canadian fighters, namely aboriginal- and Polish-Canadians, a beautiful water fountain and a few temporary art installations round up the things to see and enjoy in this smallish but memorable public park.
SO PRETTY!!! Whole family loved it, wish we packed a picnic!
