“Madison Avenue Pub is a melting pot where all can gather and become friends. Dave and Isabel are the founders of Madison Avenue Pub, who decided to open a small bar in the basement of 14 Madison Avenue in 1983. This popular student hangout has 6 British-style pubs inside three connected Victorian mansions. Over the years, the pub grew to occupy three interconnected Victorian mansions with several bars and multiple patios. The pub is known for its scenic patios, huge Victorian rooms, live piano pub act, fresh local beer and homemade pub grub. Madison Avenue Pub's atmosphere is casual and energizing. The customers can wear jeans and be themselves at one of Toronto's oldest pubs. They can also catch the Piano Man performing live every Friday and Saturday night, a favourite tradition that the pub's team has held for decades and one of the last acts of its kind in Toronto. The pub offers a dance floor, a live piano man, and four floors of partying on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

C’EST WHAT? REVIEWS

One of my favourite bars in the city! Unassuming and easy to miss if walking by, but definitely worth a stop. They have a ton of beers on tap along with a good selection of cocktails and other craft cans/bottles. They have 3 pool tables which are pay by the minute and usually has a long wait on weekend evening, but aside from that they're usually available. While I mostly come here for drinks a pool, their food is delicious too! Typical items you'd expect from a pub menu but executed at a step above most others. Love the cozy environment, ample seating along with a fire place for those colder winter nights. Service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely a great date spot or to have some drinks with friends. Highly recommend!

Myself and a group of friends decided to try this place for dinner on Saturday and it did not disappoint! We were lucky enough to be given a large table in a quiet area to catch up, which was very generous of the staff to do. The drink list is extensive and fantastic (so many beer options!), but the best part was the food. Oh my gosh, I had the schnitzel sandwich and I will be dreaming about that sandwich for weeks. It was perfect. Everyone else in our group raved about their meals and I will definitely be coming back. Such a cozy and lovely ambiance - I can't believe it took me this long to go!

Loved the food and ambiance of this pub! We had the bison burger and butter chicken on our visit, found both reasonably sized. The butter chicken seemed to be a bit of a fusion with other cuisines that worked well in taste! Will definitely visit again.

Yesterday I hosted a small group and Zak took care of us. He was kind and efficient as he gave everyone a number so they could pay their tab. I really appreciate him and the booking staff who helped me make this event possible. A few of us stayed after for dinner and we were all satisfied. We ordered fish & chips, salmon, Mac & cheese, and crispy chicken sandwich. All were tasty. I had a great first impression here. Thank you

This place is awesome. The staff here are some of the most welcoming and lovely people I’ve ever met. When you go to check it out be sure to TIP YOUR SERVERS! Doesn’t matter if you get one drink or a meal for the fam. They work much harder than you think so YOU can enjoy your time there.

We had fun afternoon hanging there. The bartender is nice and offers good service. Colouring and playing poker game and it is really fun.

The Goodman Pub and Kitchen delivers exactly what you’d hope for in a lakeside dining experience — stunning views, a welcoming atmosphere, and food that hits the mark. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel at home with friendly service and great attention to detail. The menu offers a solid mix of pub classics and elevated dishes. I highly recommend the fish and chips — perfectly crispy and flavorful — and the truffle fries are dangerously addictive. Their cocktail list is well-crafted, and the local beer selection rounds out the experience nicely. Whether you’re grabbing a casual drink on the patio or sitting down for a full meal, The Goodman strikes that rare balance of relaxed and refined. Definitely worth a visit — and a return trip.

A great spot in Toronto to hang out especially on their patio on a hot summer day. We went on a weekend (Saturday) around 7 and was glad to get seated quick! We also noticed that our server was really friendly and attentive, we appreciated that so much. The food came out quick too! We just wanted to thank Juan for his service!

wow.. this is how a patio dining experience on the water is supposed to be!.. the food is your typical pub food but its made so well and it was ready so fast . the frozen cocktails are soo good on a hot day !!! so much better than the other spot next door.
