TOP 3 PAI NORTHERN THAI KITCHEN REVIEWS
This place is a five stars all around. From vibes to service and most of all the food. Needless to say it was good beyond expectations. Two of us shared the mango salad, grabong and the garlic shrimps. Both delicious. Then we had the Pad GRA Prow with chicken and the chef nuit pad Thai. Very generous portions and the flavours are unbeatable. It’s one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been. Ever. To finish off the meal we ordered the coconut sorbet. It was the most delicious thing I’ve ever had. Creamy crunchy with a hint of roasted coconut, coconut meat, mayo chic ke and roasted peanuts. Be prepared to share it as it’s huge! Highly recommended. We didn’t book in advance but queued up and got a table within 35minutes.
Food so good that we came twice in our 4 days stay in Toronto. PAI is a jewel of Thai cuisine. Honing in their focus on Northern Thailand, the menu offers not only blonde classics, but also some lesser known specialties. Everything is generously bursting with flavour and each bite just kept amplifying the other that we ended on a climax. Bring your friends so that you can sample everything on the menu. None of it failed. The atmosphere also recalls no frills bars and eateries of Thailand.
First time trying Thai cuisine in Toronto. I think this place is rewarded with a Michelin (?) as I saw a sign while walking in. Anyway, food were quite good in general. I chose medium spicy but I could hardly taste any spiciness so if you are Asian too I would suggest you to directly go for extra spicy.

TOP 3 SALAD KING REVIEWS
I've been eating at Salad King for a long time now, and this restaurant never fails to impress me with their food and service. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the wait time is good. I love how helpful the employees are, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Two of my all-time favorite dishes at Salad King is their Pad Thai and the Fried Rice. Overall, Salad King continues to be one of my go-to spots in the city. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go. You won't be disappointed!
We went to Salad King after many years and the food brought back so many memories. The food is amazing and we both got the Thai Islamic Noodles. Service is fast and very efficient, but we always feel rushed there. Their turnover of customers is always so quick. Mind you, it is a student spot so this makes sense.
The first time I ate at this place was in 2009. I’m glad this place still here and continues to serve tasty food. I love their curry coconut soups, it’s already a bit spicy, but if you want to add more they can do it up to 20 chilis. The portions are big and some look small but fulfilling. Salad King made me fall in love with Thai cuisine.

TOP 3 KHAO SAN ROAD REVIEWS
I’ve been dining at Khao San Road for 6 years and I’m a little flabbergasted I haven’t written review. It’s perfect. They have their spice levels down to a science. I’d personally recommend level 3 if you enjoy spice. If you don’t levels 1-2 will suffice. If you’re down for a challenge go for 6. I can’t vouch for 11. But if 3-6 is any indication of heat level, I’d wager don’t go 11.
Lovely staff at chic restaurant. Flavours are authentic and yummy. The Khao soi noodles were terrific as was the papaya salad. No cocktail menu in main restaurant but you can go upstairs to the bar and bring down if want. The restaurant is quite loud.
Excellent food with generous portions and variable spice levels. Place fills up fast so we went ahead to make sure we got in early to get seats. Cozy, friendly place and doesn't rush you. Washrooms are up the stairs so not accessible. Quick service.
