"Dr. Saul Isserow graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1986. He completed general practice and specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Saskatchewan and earned the FRCPC designation in Internal Medicine in 1994 and in Cardiology in 1996. He is the Director of the VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health and the Director of Cardiology Services at UBC Hospital. Dr. Isserow is the Regional Lead for Cardiac Rehabilitation in the Vancouver Coastal Health region. He specializes in sports and preventive cardiology and was the Cardiology Lead for the Vancouver Olympic Games in 2010. "Dr. Teresa Tsang is the Director of Echocardiography at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC Hospital, Professor of Medicine, and Associate Head of Research for the Department of Medicine. She completed her medical degree and internal medicine training at the University of Alberta. Dr. Tsang completed her fellowship in echocardiography at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She was subsequently offered a staff position in cardiology at the Mayo Clinic, where she worked for over ten years as a clinician and researcher. Her research program is principally focused on the physiologic and pathophysiologic aging of the cardiovascular system. Her long-term goal is to improve her ability to predict the future development of age-related cardiovascular problems. Dr. Tsang has a special interest in atrial fibrillation, heart failure, stroke, and cognitive dysfunction. She is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is the Executive Director of the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute and Associate Dean of Research at UBC Faculty of Medicine. She speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
