I couldn't be happier with the help I have received from Dr. Ronald Remick and the team at the Mood Disorders Association. In the past it has been very difficult for me to advocate for myself when my illness has become unmanageable. Since I've been with MDABC I have felt supported in terms of medication, education and compassion, as well as empowered to take responsibility for my health, by understanding my own needs and finding the motivation to meet them. Dr. Remick is as kind as he is knowledgeable, and I'm very grateful for his time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Remick for going on 9 years when i was diagnosed bipolar. Dr Remick and the staff of MDA gave me my life back. I go in once a year and converse by email once or twice and have my levels checked about every 6 months... I feel so fortunate to have found him.

Ron Remick is a brilliant psychiatrist, who has made groundbreaking strides in his field. He is compassionate and makes himself easily accessible to his patients. He responds almost immediately to any question via email, with kindness and expertise.

His use of incredibly relatable analogies is excellent. Most importantly, as many before myself have highlighted, his empathy for his patients is incredible and undeniably life-saving.

Dr. Kroeker is very considerate and up to date with the latest research and always accommodates these new findings into his treatment. He is always a pleasure to talk to and like many other patients, he saved my life as well.

Dr. Fan is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever had. She makes me feel heard, understood and validated always in her calm and wise demeanour. Often too, she will offer advice which is clear and simple in a no-nonsense kind of way. It's even great that we get to share a few laughs. Her memory is astounding; Dr. Fan remembers names, relationships and experiences of mine from years past, and I know she's not quickly studying up between patients, because they're back to back! Dr. Fan is always able to find the positivity while always being honest, straight forward yet non-judgemental. There are many ways also in which she goes the extra mile. I don't FEEL like she really cares; I KNOW Dr. Fan really cares, and that's very special. How lucky am I to have fallen under her care. My life has changed immensely because of her.

From the get go, I knew that I had an excellent therapeutic relationship with Nancy. She is amazing, compassionate, with much empathy. I often feel like I'm having a regular conversation. I feel treated like a peer. All thoughts and feelings are heard and then she quietly guides me in a good direction. I can walk in, really stressed out and leave , so much calmer and feeling that I can handle things. I consider myself extremely lucky, to be under Nancy's expertise. I couldn't possibly find anyone better. Everyone who sees her, feels so very lucky.
