“Dr. Gary J. Redekop graduated from the University of Western Ontario and completed a neurosurgical residency. He also did fellowship training in cerebrovascular surgery in the Division of Neurosurgery at the same college. He then finished studies in the molecular biology of growth factors and angiogenesis and fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Gary has worked closely with colleagues in surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and neurology to develop a multidisciplinary service integrating microvascular and endovascular approaches to cerebrovascular disease. In addition, he is clinically interested in the surgical treatment of epilepsy. Dr. Gary J. Redekop confers the surgical treatment for Intra and Extra-Cranial Cerebrovascular Diseases, especially expert in managing arteriovenous malformations and cerebral aneurysms. He is an associate professor of surgery and radiology and the head of the Department of Surgery at VGH.”
