“Dr. Meera Luthra obtained her B.Sc. and medical degrees from the University of Toronto. She completed her fellowship in Internal Medicine in 2005 and received certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She earned her subspecialty certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2006. Dr. Meera is particularly interested in treating endocrine disorders, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and ovarian diseases. She received the Department of Medicine Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Medical Education in 2016. She is also the Director of Faculty Development in the Department of Medicine and the Program Director of the Endocrinology Residency training program at McMaster University.

2025 Update: She has a special interest in endocrine disorders in pregnancy. Dr. Meera focuses on managing complex patients with diabetes types 1 and 2, utilizing technology and insulin pumps. She received the PGME Award for Excellence and Innovation in Residency Education in 2024. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Dr. Meera has hospital privileges at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Hamilton Health Sciences General Site.”
