3 Best Gynecologists in Hamilton, ON

The amazing Dr. Persaide delivered my son in 2017 and my daughter in 2020 both c-sections. For my son it was an induction turned section and I was terrified, and he explained everything to me, he held my hand during my epidural, and I am pretty sure I cried all over his scrubs and he was so calming and understanding. The entire team was great! I am presently pregnant and the HGC numbers are low, and I am unsure if the pregnancy will continue, and I bawled and was out of shape in his office trying to tell him about my feelings regarding the uncertainties and her prescribed me progesterone and assured me that we will do all we can. I cannot say enough about this ANGEL, if you're reading this and contemplating what OB to sign up with, Dr. Persadie is the right choice.

Dr Persadie is one of the best Drs I have ever had. I would rate him #1 in my books. I had a complete hysterectomy in Nov 2021 and he and his whole team were AMAZING, from Carolyn at the reception desk to his assistants in the office all the surgical team at St Joes and the day surgery nurses(Brenda, Carrie, Jenny and Shana) were all AMAZING! I had some extra questions and every one of them made sure all my questions were answered and never once made me feel silly for asking or rushed in anyway, they all took their time with me. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Persadie to anyone, I already have!! Thank you so much to everyone!! It was such a great experience!!

Dr. Persadie was the best on/gyn I have seen. I had seen him for my entire 9 months as I was very sick with hyperemisis gravidarum . He was so kind and funny always made me smile even when I was vomiting in his office. And my daughter is very healthy and born almost 8lbs

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr Ellis and the team at St Joe’s. Dr Ellis delivered my first baby at St Joe’s, at the time I was in the care of a midwife (definitely not a positive experience for me) and she had to intervene. My experience after at the hospital was positive. Both my husband knew if we had another baby it would 100% under the care of Dr Ellis. My first pregnancy was not high risk but definitely a gong show. My biggest take away is that if you have any red flags, transfer your care.. because this time around I had 100% confidence and almost 0 % stress while in the care of Dr. Ellis. Dr Ellis and team were beyond organized throughout the pandemic, keeping wait times short and appointments on track. I never felt like my care was compromised. Her assistant Susan was an awesome point of contact. Who was always compassionate and positive. Dr Ellis listened to all my needs and concerns. She was a calming presence. Post partum she helped with some scar tissue and got to the bottom of it!

Dr. Ellis is one incredible doctor! She delivered both my sets of twins and handled two very different deliveries exceptionally well! She was fierce and competent in the delivery room during my first very traumatic delivery. She was so caring and compassionate during my second delivery and made it such a special experience even though it was a scheduled c-section. She is knowledgeable, thorough and very personable. I miss my appointments with her and it was honestly a pleasure getting to know her. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their OB!

Dr Ellis was not my OBGYN during my entire pregnancy however she was the doctor on call to deliver my son since my doctor was not available. Dr Ellis was absolutely wonderful. For not actually being her patient the entire time, she came to check on me many times after giving birth. My son is now almost 12 and I still talk about how amazing she was!
