3 Best Martial Arts in Edmonton, AB

I've been hitting this gym since September 2023, and it's been a game-changer for my fitness and striking/grappling skills. It's easily one of the best MMA spots in Alberta, whether you're aiming to compete or just starting out. The people training here are super friendly, the coaches really know their stuff, and the vibe is just awesome overall. Come try it.

Super clean gym and high quality grappling mats. Most guys there seem more focused on kickboxing than grappling, however it is a great place for grappling and wall fighting, and the main BJJ coach Julian has an insane pressure passing game. There is no ring, but a nice open space for bag/padwork, and a square cage. Limited opening hours, with very few open mat/open training slots on their schedule. The training sessions are short, but tightly ran and at a nice intensity. The new location is huge and has more mat space than anywhere else.

I've trained at Kingdom several times and I've made it my go to stop whenever I'm in Edmonton. Coach Craig is an excellent instructor and an incredible athlete. The facility is humongous and has dedicated kickboxing, grappling, and weight training areas. The students are all very chill and welcoming. I couldn't ask for more.

This place is amazing. Great professors and coaches. They are very welcoming to newcomers and great with children and youth. Highly recommend this Academy for Jiu-jitsu. The life skills that are gained from this type of training are endless and very noticeable after attending for under one month. Talk to Tim about getting started!

I'm an out-of-towner that dropped in for an open mat. The people were very friendly, and everyone I rolled with was respectful and skilled. The facility was clean and hygienic, had a large space for rolling, and had change rooms and showers. I very much recommend this gym.

Great community. Everyone was very welcoming. The place is very clean which is always a huge plus. And the instructors are skilled and knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone either looking for a new gym to train BJJ or just visiting town like I was.
