“Dr. Andrew G. Parrent graduated from the University of Toronto in 1983. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax and a two-year fellowship in Stereotaxic/Functional Neurosurgery at The Toronto Hospital. He is clinically focused on minimally invasive techniques for the surgical treatment of epilepsy. In addition, Dr. Andrew has researched stereotactic surgery techniques for treating temporal lobe epilepsy. He is conducting research in brain stimulation on the temporal lobe to treat temporal lobe seizures with electrical stimulation rather than surgical procedures. Dr. Andrew G. Parrent's clinical research on endoscopic and image-guided surgery has contributed to many medical textbooks and has been published in numerous journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences.”
