3 Best Optometrists in London, ON

My mother and I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mao and his staff recently. It was convenient for us to take mom there as his office is at St. Joseph's Hospital which is attached to Mount Hope by way of tunnel. My mother, who is 93 and residing at Mount Hope, has mobility issues so this seemed to be the best option. She also is also very hard of hearing even with hearing aids, but Dr. Mao was very kind and patient with my mother during the eye exam. He was calm and just directed her as best he could. Unfortunately, a week after mom received her new lenses, a staff member at Mount Hope lost them. My mother had had the same frames for 15 years which she loved, so that was a challenge in itself to try and find the same ones. We finally did, and they were sent to Dr. Mao's office. They made her a new set of lenses and he did this all free of charge. We are so grateful to Dr. Mao and all his staff for their compassion and understanding after such a stressful time (a month) without her glasses. Thank you again so much!.

I drove for 4 hours to have my eyes checked by this man because he changed my life a few year's back. As a child I had a hard time learning things and was tested probed and yes I had my eyes checked by others. I was placed in classes for kids that had issues similar to mine.I was labeled dumb, retarded, and a lot of other bad things.Other kids kicked and punched me as they would call me names. I dropped out of school at the first possible chance and took any job I could get with no diploma. Everything changed for me the day I got my eyes checked by Dr.Mao. Got a new prescription and glasses and I went back to school and everything was easier. People were looking at my marks and even cheating by looking at my work. I was one of the top students in my class. Because my mark was high I didn't even have to write my final exam. I think that this man changed my life because of his understanding of my eyes.

I received my glasses today and the prescription was spot on. My previous optometrist had trouble getting my prescription correct so I was so thankful for Dr. Mao’s skill. It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Dr. Mao and the whole eye care team were simply fantastic. I couldn’t feel happier and I truly believe I am in great hands going forward.

You all are so very caring and patient with all our visits and treatments for my Dad. You are so informative, professional while taking the extra time to discuss best options for the patient. I can tell you love what you do and it shows by the way you feel as we enter your office. You guys have something amazing going on there and I feel like you are setting the bar really high. I recommend you to family & friends. My father feels great after a treatment with Shylah and we look forward to visiting soon. I had a great experience at Central Optometry! My appointment started with Jessica doing a few test before I saw the doctor Heather. Both Ladies made me feel very comfortable and made the appointment go by very smoothly. Instead of waiting for the eye drops to set in they took me to Vanessa to continue the paper work on getting my new glasses, which by the way are amazing! They all truly made my experience a 10/10 and I will forever recommend them moving forward. Thanks again ladies.

The staff were sooo good with my 7 year old son who we brought in to get a second opinion regarding starting him on myopia control. Dr. Francis did a great job explaining the process and my son was totally comfortable with her. I'm switching everything over to Central Optometry because they are so knowledgeable and kind!.
