“Dr. Wesdon McCann received his doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. McCann completed clinical rotations focusing on contact lenses, primary care & pediatric optometry at NSU. Central Optometry offers Myopia Control Management for near-sighted children. Their evidence-based treatment regime can reduce the progression of myopia in kids by up to 60%. He is passionate about managing ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease and diabetic eye disease. He has enjoyed teaching clinical externs from the Waterloo School of Optometry in the past, has served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Optometrists in 2016-2018, and is currently on the Board of Directors for Eye Recommend. He has been published in numerous journals including Review of Optometry and Review of Myopia Management. Currently, he is practising in Central Optometry.
