I had my first appt with her today. She is very pleasant and thorough. She was attentive and forward with questions. She did mention she can be late. But I understand why. She was thorough with me and didn't treat me like I had to rush whatsoever. This helps a lot for someone who has seen many doctors and been so rushed I forget to mention things. Happy to be seeing her again.

Dr. Gupta is a very experienced doctor who does a very complete evaluation. I was being treated as bipolar for many years. She is the first doctor to diagnose my PTSD. She is a psychaitrist but she was also the first doctor to diagnose my diabetes. Since my diabetes has been treated my mental health has improved greatly. I recommend this doctor very highly.

I have been seeing Dr Gupta for over 10 years and owe my life to her. She is patient, kind and caring. She takes the time to listen. She will warn you on your first visit that she is seldom on time. This doesn't matter, because each patient gets the time they need.

Dr Mirza is wonderful with kids who truly have a medical issue and parents who are willing to be a part of treating it. He isn't a psychologist and he isn't your marriage counsellor. Parents need to work with the team and make use of the resources they are offered and be accountable. They need to advocate for their child at school and not rely on other people to do everything for your child. The parents need to listen and put the work in, otherwise, there is no point in making an appointment or putting your child on medication. Psychiatrists are also not emergency treatment. I agree with his policy, that if you are having an emergency, you need to contact emergency services, not his secretary. Parents who expect a miracle are not going to get it, from anyone. Any negative reviews here are probably because the parent didn't like what they were being told. Parents who try to bulldoze the system, blame problems on other people, let video games babysit their kids are not going to get along with this doctor. The staff at CPRI are overwhelmed with the volume, but it's a government funded agency, what else can be expected? Parents call, expecting the staff to be able to solve their problems or thinking adjusting medication doses is going to be a magic wand when it isn't.
