“Candice Vermeulen graduated from Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2008. Candice has been a physiotherapist in several private clinics throughout the Niagara Region. Candice is particularly interested in concussion management–including acute concussion injuries and post-concussion syndrome. She is a certified complete concussion management practitioner, R2P concussion management certified, and a level 1 manual therapist (CPA Orthopedic Division). She has advanced training in Vestibular Rehabilitation. She has attended many graduate courses dealing with the shoulder, cervical spine, and lumbar spine through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI). Candice has achieved first-place accolades in the Sprint, Keirin, and Team Sprint categories at the Canadian National Track Cycling Championships, earning her Gold Medals. She also completed courses in soft tissue release techniques, manual therapy for the fascia system, core stabilization, and anatomical acupuncture. She practices at Niagara Health & Rehab Centre. The clinic offers complete physiotherapy services, encompassing chiropractic care, massage therapy, and osteopathy.”
