3 Best Retirement Homes in Hamilton, ON

I've had the privilege of interacting with some of the staff at The Village of Wentworth Heights for almost two years now as they develop the location. I am warmed by their care and compassion and dedication to their work. They clearly are drawn to what they do by the love of people and a deep caring for the Senior demographic. They are joyful, kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this stunning facility to anyone looking for a Seniors Residence. I want to add an update for December 2020. My aunt is currently living at VWH and the care and dedication of the staff is amazing! I feel so grateful to them and feel so comforted by the fact that they are working so hard to keep all of the residents safe during this crazy time. Not only are they concerned with their physical health they are also concerned with their state of mind and do everything they can to keep the residents happy and engaged. Thank you, thank you, thank you !! Now more than ever!

We secured a spot for my brother in the LTC neighbourhood in May 2022. He is very happy and verbalized it just a few days ago. The leadership for the Rymal neighbourhood have been amazing not only helping to transition my brother into his new home but answering my questions as well. Thank you to everyone at WH for creating a welcoming home for my brother!

Best seniors residence I have seen ... something for everyone .... excellent food at the Ruby!

This residence is fantastic. My mom is in the memory care community at Deer Crossing and it has been life changing. I am no longer worrying or stressed about her well-being. She is safe and really enjoys living there. She is supported with daily routines, and they offer a wide variety of activities to keep her entertained throughout the day (if she wants). She especially likes the musical performers they frequently bring in. The entire staff is amazing. They are all so caring and friendly. They are always available to answer any of my questions or update me on my mom’s day. I can not thank them enough for the wonderful care my mom receives. I am so thrilled and relieved that my mom lives there. I highly recommend this residence to anyone who is concerned about a loved one and wants the best care possible.

The team at Chartwell were incredibly helpful in helping my mother transition to a retirement home setting. They made us all feel welcome from day one, and more importantly, they made my mom feel extremely comfortable. My mother loves the food, and enjoys the company of all of the other residents. She is like a new person since she moved in there. I cannot thank Frank and his team enough for everything they have done!

As their produce supplier, I work very closely with Chartwell Deerview Crossing and their kitchen staff. Ensuring their residents receive Safe Quality Foods is always their number one priority! They support their local farmers by using seasonal fruits and vegetables whenever possible. I enjoy working with a team that takes such great pride in the food they serve!
