3 Best Retirement Homes in Whitby, ON

I was invited to participate as a vendor for Colonial's open house on June 7, 2024. When I arrived, I was greeted by a few happy residents. I spoke to a lovely woman at the front desk and was connected with Ashley. I set up my items on the table provided for me. It was a great day! I spoke to many residents at length. Everyone seemed very happy. The staff were attentive and had lots of smiles for all. It was clean and tidy. The decor was very nice and I could see that the residents were treated very well. I could see how staff really cared about each person by their interactions. Throughout the day, Ashley checked on all the vendors to see if we had everything we needed. All in all it was a very pleasant experience! I look forward to attending further events and interacting with the residents and staff again.

Chartwell Colonial is one of my most favourite Retirement Homes! The staff, each and every one of them, from the front desk, to management, to the PSW’s are the most beautiful, loving and welcoming people. They make everyone feel so special, so important. Of all the retirement home I have been to, Chartwell Colonial is the most fun! The residence here are absolutely fabulous, supporting each other, loving each other and having a lot of fun together. Not only is this a fun and welcoming retirement home, it is beautifully layed out with a fabulous massive sun deck. Without hesitation, I recommend this beautiful home to anyone who is considering a wonderful place to retire…with a social life second to none.

Colonial is a very special home because of the wonderful staff and residents. I worked for colonial for 2.5 years and can confidently say that the staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy, safe, and healthy. Lesley is a wonderful GM who truly cares wholeheartedly about her residents and staff. It is a big family over there and I love to visit when I can!

In my 3 years here I have seen many changes. There is a wonderful new management team in place and our long awaited renovations are nearly complete and provide a nice welcoming atmosphere. As the youngest resident here I was afraid I wouldn’t fit in but the staff and other residents have helped me feel at home. I look forward to my daily walks around the beautiful grounds and my dog enjoys it here too! I love that if I feel like having company I just open my door and walk down the hall. It makes living alone enjoyable! Thank you Pringle Creek!

I’ve lived at PC for nearly a year. I love the scenery, my suite and the residents have made me feel so welcome.the staff are great the activities keep me active and engaged. I just love it here.
