It is also a favourite place for hikers in Halton Parks away from the crowds and the city's hustle-bustle. Mount Nemo is a peaceful place for nature walks. It has a great trail for all adventurers, and there are many roots and rocks to challenge the keen hiker. There is a cliff edge with beautiful views, and you can see some spectacular views along the way of the surrounding area. You can bring your dog for a walk, or watch the turkey vultures bobbing up and down on the thermals. Mount Nemo provides free admission for children under four."

Hendrie Valley is one of the best places to spend some time around Burlington or Hamilton. It has trails, and boardwalks and wildlife-filled nature preserve with marshes and creeks. Hendrie Valley features more than twenty-seven km of nature trails. It has over 250 species that can be encountered over the fall season, and every trail can host something special. The trails burst into fall colour as the leaves turn reds, yellows, and purples, and you can enjoy fall colours in this trail loop. It has indigenous plant displays, a lookout, and Shagbark Hickory trees. The park provides free parking at the trailheads."

Kerncliff Park has beautiful views of Lake Ontario, plus a bit of the city Burlington. This park features a natural stone backdrop, a wooden bridge through a marsh-like setting, waterfall, nature trails and backdrop views. There are open trails and also wooded trails, and some more difficult rocky areas. It has lots of winding trails, and it is great in winter with some decent slopes for those who want a little challenge. It provides environmental groups to deliver sustainable recreation and education opportunities. Kerncliff Park is an excellent place to explore both gravel paths and a boardwalk. It is great to visit in every season throughout the year."
