“Mount Nemo Conservation Area is owned and operated by Conservation Halton. This is the perfect place for hikers in Halton Parks, providing an escape from the city's crowds and hustle and bustle. Mount Nemo is a peaceful spot for nature walks. The conservation area offers excellent trails for all adventurers, featuring many roots and rocks to challenge keen hikers. Mount Nemo Conservation Area's 5 kilometres of hiking trails connect with the Bruce Trail. Mount Nemo Conservation Area also has various cave systems running through the rock. You can bring your dog for a walk and watch the turkey vultures soaring on the thermals. The trails at Mount Nemo Conservation Area are open by reservation only.

2025 Update: The rock type is limestone, and most of the routes climbed are sport climbing. The sport climbing begins with a 5.9, but the majority of climbs fall in the 5.10 to 5.12 range.”

MOUNT NEMO CONSERVATION AREA REVIEWS

Good trails, lot of area to cover. Great views, multiple viewpoints. Take some water, bug spray and full sleeves to avoid bug bites. Very picturesque and serine. It was like walking alone in a forest. The north trail is a bit more rocky but the south trail is a bit smoother. The old quarry in the middle is kind of unique to visit. However it has a steep climb down to it.

From stunning views along an escarpment trail, to a massive ancient quarry with high cliffs, to natural rock caves, to a challenging descent down the mountain to the forest trail below - there isn't one part of this place that isn't gorgeous. On a clear day, you can see the Toronto CN Tower in the distance from the cliff edge.

Such a nice place to go for hiking and walk. A place where you can enjoy nature and the forest to its fullest. You can spend a whole day here and feel happier.

HIDDEN VALLEY PARK REVIEWS

Terrific park in the Aldershot area of Burlington. Lots of picnic areas, some with pavilions for rainy days, two playgrounds, and lots of parking. The multi-use trail along Grindstone Creek is very walkable but has some small patches that would be more difficult to use with a wheeled conveyance (walker, stroller, or wheelchair). The multi-use trail connects (by crossing Unsworth Avenue) to the Creek Side Walk in the RBG Hendrie Valley Sanctuary.

Beautiful gem to find! Truly. The trail is nice and pretty straightforward and then you come across different trails made of wooden bridges. So cool! Lots of chickadees and squirrels and they're pretty friendly. We started at hidden valley and it goes right into Hendrie Park. We did over 10,000 steps so wear good hiking shoes!

Beautiful walk from Hidden Valley into RBG then to york bridge. If your up for a walk, this one is a really nice one!!!

RBG HENDRIE VALLEY SANCTUARY REVIEWS

Amazing nature experience. Beautiful views acriss several paths. We saw chipmunks, beavers, very large friendly swans and many birds. Recommended.

Wonderful experience. Lots to see and the wildlife is very friendly. The trail is very easy on the knees however I recommend bringing lots of water.

Great concert venue. Sunset behind the stage, surrounded by gardens. Get there early and bring your own seat.
